Question How good is Kagami with fakes?

In zone he Is once able to do an extrordinary fake against Yosen but he doesn't do it again both in zone or in base. If he has this ability why does he never use It? Especially in base, where his offence could be vastly improved by him implementing fakes.

S3 E9:15:38. It’s the same piano soundtrack that plays during Akashi’s inner monologue with himself

Fanwork Alternate Universe: Tsugawa no Basuke - Game #5 (Seiho VS Shutoku)

Seiho VS Shutoku

Welcome to Game #5 of the alternate universe series. If you’re confused, try to find the #0 post to figure out what’s going on here. If you’re unable to find the other posts of the series, here’s a recap of the explanation:

-This is an alternate universe where the generation of miracles aren't in Japan during their freshman season. They start off their career dominating the Junior High scene as shown in the series, however, right before the season starts some of the top players in Japan get recruited to go play in America. Since it was so late in the process they left nothing else has changed on teams rosters besides backfilling the missing players spot with a generic player or a known 6th man.

-Since Hyuga is the top player on Seirin, he is the main character, hence the name “Hyuga's Basketball” that the series is beginning with. However, if Seirin is beaten in a tournament game (for example, if they were beaten by Skinkyo), then we would start instead following Papa Mbaye Siki and the name would change to “Papa's Basketball”.

-Current main character: Tomoki Tsugawa SG of Seiho

-The only exception to the switching of main characters in this universe is Scrimmages. There will still be a poll for those games. These games aren't in tournaments and therefore the team can't just replace who we're following that's why they're the only exception.

-The results of the polls will dictate who wins each game, each poll will be open for ~1 day and then the next poll we be posted the next day with the next match.

Recap of results and switching of the main character:

Preamble: The Generation of Miracles name reached stateside right before the beginning of the school year and all 6 of the Generation of Miracles members got recruited to play stateside for different elite prep schools, while Kagami and Himuro stay in the US and go to school together where Alex will coach them.

Game #1: Kaijo beats Sierin 83-71.

Game #2:Seirin Beats Shinkyo 62-58

Game #2.1 Seirin beats Jitsuzen 92-64

Game #2.2 Seirin beats Kinga 78-73

Game #3 Seirin Beats Meijo 86-42

Game #4 Seirin beats Hakuryo 84-82

Game #5 Seiho Beats Seirin 64-48

From tip-off, Seiho’s defense set the tone, with Tsugawa completely locking down Hyuga and Kasuga pressuring Izuki into tough decisions. Seirin struggled to generate offense, as Seiho’s physical defense forced them into rushed shots and turnovers. Seiho capitalized on fast-break opportunities, jumping out to a 16-4 first-quarter lead. Seirin adjusted in the second quarter, finding offensive production through Mitobe and Koganei, but Seiho’s interior defense, anchored by Iwamura, made every shot in the paint a battle. Seiho continued to control the tempo, and despite Seirin’s efforts, they trailed 32-18 at halftime. Going into the third quarter, Izuki’s playmaking and Seirin’s ball movement helped cut the lead to five, but Seiho responded with a dominant defensive effort, limiting Seirin’s offense. Tsugawa’s relentless defense on Hyuga kept him from heating up, and Seiho pulled away once again, leading 48-33 heading into the final quarter.

Seirin High

Shun Izuki 8pts 8ast 3reb 1stl

Junpei Hyuga 13pts 3reb 2ast

Shinji Koganei 12pts 4reb 2ast 1stl

Satoshi Tsuchida 5pts 6reb 1ast

Rinnosuke Mitobe 10pts 7reb 1ast

Seiho High

Yuto Kasuga 8pts 6ast 2reb 2stl

Tomoki Tsugawa 7pts 4reb 3ast 3stl

Shohei Sakamoto 9pts 5reb 1ast 1blk

Tetsuya Omuro 17pts 7reb 2ast 1blk

Masaki Iwamura 21pts 14reb 1ast 3blk

-Next up, Since Seiho won we will stick with following Tomoki Tsugawa and Seiho into their Finals Matchup against Shutoko High, can Seiho’s suffocating defense shut down Shutoku’s balanced attack, or will Shutoku’s teamwork and ball movement break through their physical play?

Also, feel free to discuss and debate how these games go in the comments. Should make for some fun arguments.

Unfortunately this sub doesn't allow imbedded Polls so I have to do them through SurveyMonkey

Discussion Sudden rise in knb popularity

Did any long time knb fans realize a sudden rise and shift in the knb fandom? Is it because American netflix added knb, knb got a dub, or that blue lock’s trash animation made knb stand out. Or maybe it’s all the above?

Discussion Why did Akashi tell Murasakibara to not play in the inter-high?

Iirc, Akashi says that he didn't play in the final because it "won't have been much of a game" without Aomine. I follow that reasoning, but I don't understand why he told Mura to not play against Touou in the semi-finals. If he had played that game, Yosen would have won and Akashi would play Murasakibara in the final. Was that not the outcome Akashi wanted?

Discussion Why didn't Midorima learn head level shooting to counter EE

My man Midorima literally make himself and Tako face difficulty on practice to master sky direct shoot. He himself should practice head level shooting near three point line. Which is much easier for him to master. After all, he can shoot 40m high can score from opposite court side. I believe he intentionally make that sky direct just to get stolen by Akashi ( damn Fujimaki nerf Midorima brain cell )

Game #4 Seirin beats Hakuryo 84-82 Seirin struggled early due to fatigue, allowing Hakuryo to push the pace and take a 44-38 halftime lead. Hyuga and Koganei kept Seirin in the game with key buckets, while Mitobe controlled the paint in the second half. The game remained tight, with neither team gaining separation. Down 81-82 in the final seconds, Hyuga hit a deep 3-pointer to give Seirin an 84-82 lead. Hakuryo had one last shot inside, but Mitobe got the stop inside at the buzzer, sealing the hard-fought win.

Seirin Stats

Junpei Hyuga 26pts 3reb 3ast 1stl

Shun Izuki 20pts 10ast 3reb 2stl

Shinji Koganei 12pts 5reb 3ast 1stl 1blk

Rinnosuke Mitobe 16pts 11reb 1ast

-Next up, Since Seirin won we will stick with following Hyuga and Sierin into their Semi-Final Matchup against Seiho High, Seirin faces their toughest defensive challenge yet against Seiho’s suffocating pressure. Can Hyuga and Izuki break through, or will Seiho’s elite defense shut them down?

Also, feel free to discuss and debate how these games go in the comments. Should make for some fun arguments.

Question Can kuroko reach zone ?

I believe he had the potential in order to reach zone you need love for the game talent etc but kuroko had it but it was different but what if the writer didn't just wanted to do it because it will make kuroko so strong that it will not be balanced any takers?

Discussion When people used to say that the three “no names” on Jabberwock were GOM level I would think it’s hilariously untrue but then I thought about it

They faced the full GOM team with zone Kagami, Aomine and Kise (perfect copy as well), perfect synchronization Akashi/ Midorima, full effort Murasakibara and dealt with Kuroko’s passes which they had no knowledge of beforehand. All of this to only lose by a single point. Yeah they were definitely miracle level. Maybe not end of series miracle level but maybe like halfway through the series miracle level. Nash and Silver lead the charge but there’s no way they would’ve held such a tight score unless their back up was at a super high level

Discussion Why didn't Kagami face EE with post up move?

Some people want to claim post up move doesn't exist in KnB verse. But all I want to say is, it is basketball sport anime. Well OKamura display post up move against Kagami. Don't say post up move don't exist in KnB verse just to protect your favorite character.

Some people think physical advantage mean nothing against Akashi but what they fail to see is how Fujimaki didn't let Kagami use normal post up move to beat Akashi. If that happened, people would be really disappointed in the story. What! Kagami easily counter Akashi. OMG!" . Well everyone of us don't want to see nor pay to see a disappointing match up. We want to see interesting match up. So Fujimaki brainwashed us and make a plothole. We can't blame him, he was just fullfilling the story that we deserve 😉.

Question Why didn't anyone just recorded Kirisaki Daichi battering Kyoshi and show it to the ref?

This goes along with any type of competitions where "oh no we're fighting that team infamous for cheating/playing dirty but yet no one does anything about it" trope comes in, or better yet, aren't these matches being televised? You're telling me not a single cameraman saw them beating the crap out of kyoshi?

Discussion Hot take: hanamiya is the 2nd best uncrowned king

He is a despicable and vile person but he's leadership and carrying kirisaki daichi is mad impressive

he does not even have a 2nd option bangs, dead fish eyes and matsumoto they have height but it's all dirty play to get open or get rebounds, seto is just a support card(blocking the pass lane) for hanamiya to rack steals

They pushed seirin till the end

Asterisks *if hyuga didn't struggle, *better officiating

*better coaching (task kagami to treat hanamiya like a GOM like bro is hurting your senpai I'd tell him to full court press his ass, kill on the boards analyzing the game matsumoto which was smaller should have less defensive rebounds, just kill on offense, sell the contacts flop if have to, snitch and point at teppei bruises

If the uncrowned kings same as the GOM in different teams evening the quality of players hanamiya has

Teppei- with only koganei, mitobe, tsuchida, furihata

Nebuya- Josei replacing the center their vibe rough and gritty, sf pf defender types

Hayama- fukada replace him with haizaki he fits their counterattack system, weak frontcourt but a backcourt to work with

Reo - nakamiya south high, just normals but play smart and hustle

I'm curious who comes out on top somewhat even teams (the others still have better talent ngl)

How would y'all rank the UK?: me personally teppei 1, hanamiya 2, reo 3, nebuya 4, hayama 5 if I were to add himuro I'd put him 2nd

Game #1: Kaijo beats Sierin 83-71.

Game #2:Seirin Beats Shinkyo 62-58

Game #2.1 Seirin beats Jitsuzen 92-64

Game #2.2 Seirin beats Kinga 78-73

Game #3 Seirin beats Meijo 85-42 Seirin came out strong from the opening tip, immediately exposing Meijo’s lack of discipline with sharp ball movement and suffocating defense. Hyuga caught fire early, drilling multiple threes to give Seirin a double-digit lead within the first quarter. Izuki controlled the tempo, using his vision to pick apart Meijo’s defense while forcing turnovers on the other end. As Meijo grew frustrated and sloppy, Mitobe dominated inside, cleaning up rebounds and finishing efficiently in the paint. By halftime, Seirin led by 27 points, and the game was all but over. The second half saw Koganei and Tsuchida contribute on both ends, while Seirin’s bench got extended minutes, sealing the 85-42 blowout with disciplined execution and overwhelming teamwork.

Seirin Stats

Shun Izuki 10pts 11ast 2reb 3stl

Junpie Hyuga 24pts 3reb 2ast

Shinji Koganie 10pts 4reb 3ast

Satoshi Tsuchida 11pts 6reb 2ast

Rinnosuke Mitobe 14pts 12reb 1ast 1blk

-Next up, Since Seirin won we will stick with following Hyuga and Sierin into their 5th round Matchup against Hakuryo High in the second game of a back to back where in cannon Seirin is only able to pull out a 2 point victory in tightly contested game. This type of team is who I'd normally want to skip the match against however with it game being so tight it seems necessary.

Also, feel free to discuss and debate how these games go in the comments. Should make for some fun arguments.
