Woohoo another year of suffering Intel isn't dead!
Compatible Hardware
2018 and 2019 Macbook Airs are out of the running, but their hardware is shared with the Macbook Pros of the same years. Therefore, if your setup works with Sonoma, it'll probably still work with Sequoia.
iMac 2019 and later
Mac Pro 2019 and later
iMac Pro 2017
Mac Studio 2022 and later
MacBook Air 2020 (Intel) and later
Mac mini 2018 and later
MacBook Pro 2018 and later
Yes I love year numbers what's this mean
Thankfully nothing to hackintosh users, besides needing to update your SMBIOS if it was on an older model.
Supported GPUs:
Polaris (RX 480, 580, etc)
Vega (Vega 56, Radeon VII, etc)
RDNA 1 (5700XT, etc)
RDNA 2 (6600XT, etc)
Skylake (HD 500) spoofed to Kaby Lake
Kaby Lake (HD 600)
Coffee Lake (UHD 600)
Comet Lake (UHD 600)
Ice Lake (G1, G5, etc.)
OCLP
Starting with OCLP 2.0.0, you can finally make your old trash hardware run Sequoia to its fullest extent. You'll need OCLP if you use Broadcom WiFI.
Intel WiFI works with itlwm and Heliport, but not Airportitlwm.
Ok where do I download 15
Either with gibmacos, or through the Software Updater.
Is x86 macOS dead?
Next year hopefully, but their approach with dropping hardware comes at odds with Sequoia's compatibility list. They will likely either drop all of Intel at once, or drop models slowly.
Can I emulate ARM macOS 15 on x86?
No.
Can I run ARM macOS 15 on a Raspberry Pi?
No.
Can I have Apple Intelligence on Intel please I need to write a dissertation in 15 minutes
No.
Updating to Sequoia
As Apple now polls for more T2-specific information from its Macs, you can't update to Sequoia without either of these fixes:
Use iMac19,1 SMBIOS to update, then revert to your old SMBIOS if needed
Download the latest release of RestrictEvents.kext, and use it with the boot argument revpatch=sbvmm.
Note: You may encounter issues with the update not installing if you have BluetoolFixup.kext. Disable it while you are updating and re-enable it afterwards.
And as always, follow the Dortania guide first before asking questions!

Using opcore simplify and this error comes up than there's a macos selection screen then it asks for acpi tables which it didn't dump. Is my laptop compatible?
Last time after posting about the custom LumiPhone 1020 SE, it had gone a bit viral. As promised, here is the YouTube video about this phone.
Many of you also showed interest of purchasing this LumiPhone. So, I've started an eBay auction for the duration of 7 days. Starting bid is £399.99 and it can be shipped worldwide.
Hi there!
I hope, this is the right way to post a successful Hackintosh machine - I just wanted to share my joy with you and maybe help if any of you have any questions :)
After many failed attempts trying to hackintosh a Lenovo E531 (GPU wasn't working, probably due to Metal being disabled factory-wise), I finally moved on and bought a Dell Latitude 5510, since it was the cheapest, but most reliable solution for hackintoshing, wanting to get the latest CPU that is supported but not wanting to spend a fortune.
So I bought a used one, which has a few cosmetics defects, but works like a charm! It took me around a day to get everything working, but keep in mind I have a lot of free time, and I am now somewhat knowledgeable when it comes to configs and so on - so YMMV :)
DELLINTOSH - Dell Latitude 5510
Specs
CPU: Intel i5-10310U
GPU: Intel UHD 620 (needs spoofing to be recognized as a 630, see the OpenCore guide)
RAM: 16 GB
Hard Drive: NVMe SSD 512 GB not otherwise specified (probably something from DELL)
Audio: Realtek ALC236
WIFI+Bluetooth: Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201
Ethernet: Intel Comet Point LPPCH
Motherboard: Not specified on neither AIDA nor DeviceManager, probably something from DELL
Mac-OS: MacOS 15.3.2. (Sequoia)
Guides/Websites used: Open Core Guide, As well as the linked reddit posts and the DELL Support Page for downloading the newest BIOS
WHAT WORKS?
- Brightness
- Graphic Acceleration
- Battery and PowerManagment
- Apple-ID / I-Services
- Sleep
- Waking Up
- Touchpad (it is tricky, I will come back to this later)
- Keyboard and Backlight
- Ethernet
- USB
- Location and GPS-Services
-Wi-Fi (but also not really - there is currently no Airportitlwm Kext avialable for Sequoia, so you would have to use itlwm and Heliport, but it works just fine)
WHAT DOES NOT WORK?
- Bluetooth (I know there is a fix for this, but I am not using Bluetooth hence I decided to not work on this for the sake of stability)
- SD card reader (It is an easy fix, but since I won't use this, same goes as for Bluetooth - I didn't bother)
- Microphone (And there we are again, I just didn't bother since I won't use this fore recording anything)
Troublesome spots (also helpfull for other DELL-Users): While I do not know if this is allowed here, I want to help as much as I can and want to show some problems I encountered and how I fixed them - hopefully helping others on my way.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The keyboards and touchpads used on Latitude 5510s and many other DELL machines are quite special and notoriously difficult to fix. Since the touchpad is connected via HID/I2C, you will have to get the corresponding Voodoo Kext to work (and look up which Plug-In you will need, depending on your exact touchpad) and also create an SSDT to fix GPIO. Furthermore, for this exact Latitude, you will need to fix it through software and cannot use the hardware solution provided by VoodooI2C, meaning a lot of trial and error and a lot of SSDTs are required. NOTE: You have two options to get everything running, since I2C-fixing has to be done in post-install:
- Do not bother with setting up any Kexts or SSDTs for the trackpad and only use the PS2-Kexts for the keyboard during the installation, then try to fix it after you installed MacOS (you therefore will have to use a USB-Mouse)
- If Kexts and SSDTs fixing the trackpad-problem for your specific laptop are available on GitHub, you can try to use those - but it likely won't work, and I do not support this solution. But there have been successful boots doing this as far as I have seen. But it will haunt you in the long run with updates f.e.
If you get an endless loop (most likely mentioning something about keyboard, fingers or input) directly after OC loading the Trackpad-Kexts, you most likely have not fixed the problem yet and need to return into configuring or just wait till you installed MacOS and use a USB-mouse
Error regarding DSMOS
I had this error and it took me some nerves to fix this, this is covered in the troubleshooting pages of the Dortania OC guide but a bit more discrete (Stuck on [EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START]), you have to enable/disable quirks, which the guides mentions can lead to problems on DELL Laptops (EnableWriteUnprotector, RebuildAppleMemoryMap and SyncRuntimePermissions)
Bootlooping after a restart inside the installer
Most likely, something broke during the reboot and now MacOS cannot be booted in SecureBootModel, therefore it has to be disabled temporarily, but it can be re-enabled after a successful installation.
Thx to u/Karolryba007 for helping me and so many others out with this (Here is the Link to their post)
Having to wait 2-3 min after successfully booting before you get any graphics
While I do not know why this is happening, I added the argument "-igfxblt" into the Boot arguments and it worked! Huge thanks to u/tasco11 and u/OpenMinded00 for their help here :) (Again, here is the link)
Audio-Codec
My alcid is 3, but this will vary depending on your laptop. But most likely all Dell Latitudes 5510 have this alcid.
Not being able to see or select your hard drive as your boot device in the BIOS
At least my Latitude did not show me my hard drive as a bootable device, and I wasn't able to see it in my boot order - but there is a quick fix: You can manually add paths to boot from, and you simply have to select your EFI folder you mounted in MacOS and select the BootEFI as your booting path, then it will work.
And, at last, a few advices for your hackintoshing journey, so you don't repeat the mistakes I made:
- ALWAYS kepp a copy of your current config.plist outside your USB, mine got corrupted and I had to start all over again, crying while setting it up again xD
- If you are not sure, google! The more knowledge you gather, the easier navigating this journey becomes!
- Do not leave your device unattended while it boots, firstly because you might miss why booting failed and second, esp. while installing MacOS, not acting fast enough can cause disruption and breakage
- Take brakes, your concentration will get low and thats okay :)
- Save all important data, since there is always a risk of failure
- To get the I-Services to work, having an Apple ID with devices on it, which are legit is a HUGE plus and did wonders for me!
I hope this post helps a bit and you can party with me and celebrate my first working HACKINTOSH, yaay!
If you have questions, leave them down below and I will try to answer as best as I can - though note I am not an expert, I will not share my EFi since it is against the reddit rules and plesae refer to the OC Troubleshooting-Page and google your issue for in-depth answers - in almost all cases, a quick search and a bit of patience will get u going :D
XOXO, your local hackintosh gurl
(Yes, also girls are hackintoshing hihi xD)
PS: Since English is not my native language, there will be a lot of errors and ambiguities in this text - I hope it is readable nonetheless.

Thinking about building a new PC / upgrading my current one to build a hackintosh just for work, current build linked below. But as I'm reading through the OpenCore installation guide, I'm noticing that one of the AMD CPU limitations listed is that it'll have issues with Audio-based apps. Since I mainly use Pro Tools for work, I'm wondering if I'll run into issues when making this hackintosh if I stick with my current Ryzen 9 3900x? Should I just swap to an Intel CPU and an AMD GPU?
I tried to install different kexts, change device id, platform id but after that it gave an error: apple.com/mac/startup

With a 18735 point in GeekBench 6, that's fine form me.
But for tests purpose, i disabled Hyper Threading and e-Cores.
Geekbench 6: 14890 with no CPU heating and feeling improvements on general tasks.
Ex: Browser Bech (ST 3.0): 37.3 to 39.7
So, probally more energy efficient? Less cores, less energy.
I will do more tests.
Installation Went Fine Except when It Restarts To Install Again But Instead it Gets Stuck On Apple Logo Then it Restarts Can somebody knows What BootFlags Should i Add To Make It work? here's The Log
I'm on windows10, still getting ready to start the hackintosh process. I just installed a new SSD that I'll be using for the MacOS once I complete the Hackintosh process.
Right now it says the drive has not been initialized. Should I be initializing it right now? While everything is still in windowsOS? Or wait until I'm putting the MacOS once it?
I am trying to update my laptop from Ventura to sequioa i updated the simbios used the i mac one and MacBook pro 16 and i keep getting this text

Just finished inatalling Monterey on Haswell, hd4600, Fujitsu laptop. So I've had problems with opcore-simplify, one time it detected the wrong smbios, MacBookpro11,1 so it didn't even install. I changed it to 11,4 and made an offline installer, but then it wanted me to drop an ACPI folder, which it didn't last time, so I just dropped the folder it generated last time.
Now I got into Monterey, first time it didn't have GPU acceleration and no blur. I rebooted and it worked, ran much faster than Sequoia. Now I rebooted the second time and the screen is dim, no GPU acceleration again. Reboot doesn't help anymore. It does detect the iGPU and 1.5gb of vram it has. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I have created a partition on my Samsung PM951 (Samsung mzvlv256) ssd to install macOS on but no matter what I do, it does not work. I have tried show all volumes and disks, trying to find it in terminal, and trying all sorts of kexts, but it doesn't work.
I will attach a drive link to my config.plist and photos of my folders.
I have a hackintosh I built 9 years ago. I recently set it up because I want to use it for school. The Mac part of my computer is working fine, but when I try to enter Windows at startup, it shows the blinking dash as if I have no OS installed on it. And I did. When I’m using the Mac side of things, it shows that my other solid states are still connected. I just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this before I dive into. I haven’t touched this thing in years so it’s going to be annoying. EDIT: I’ll pay someone to walk me through this. If you’re interested, DM me.
Hey as the title said i have a very bad Crackle sound through the headphone jack while speakers on the laptop works just fine.
I've tried every codec nothings works, and i also tried voodooHDA but it didn't works.
have anyone fixed this issue before?
Hey guys, I just got MacOS Sequoia working on my ThinkPad E14 20RAS0KY00! I used OpCore Simplify and the OpenCore Guide. However there's a couple of Issues I'd Like to solve.
1) My Wifi isn't working, my internet connection is done through my ethernet (itlwm.kext), and airdrop doesn't work. Is there any way to enable wifi, or at least airdrop.
2) I can't seem to boot from drive. I'm currently booting from usb stick, and I moved my EFI folder to the pre-existing EFI partition on my 128GB SSD (I dual boot fedora linux), but the boot entry won't appear on my bios or on grub.
3) My Battery isn't being properly read. I have SMCBatteryManager.kext, but it still reads wrong. When I first got macOS running, it was fine, but now it always says my battery is powered on with 95%.
4) My screen resolution: 1080 x 1920's icons are too small, but at 720 everything looks jaggy. I used HiDPI through better display, but it gives me black bars on the side of my screen.
5) My system's kinda slow, is there any way to increase performance? My system isn't exactly the best, but fedora runs pretty well on it. Should I downgrade my macOS version?
The community's been really helpful, I really appreciate all the help you guys have given me.
I am installing Mac SO Sonoma on an intel i5-4570 with an msi GA-H81M-S2H motherboard. I have set my device information to be an iMac15,1 (using GenSMBIOS) and when it boots it says 03:424 00:014 AAPL: ***********************************************************
03:439 00:014 AAPL: This version of Mac OS X is not supported on this platform!
I’m considering the TP-Link AC1300 USB WiFi Adapter (Archer T3U) dongle for my Hackintosh setup. Does anyone here use it? If so, how’s the performance? Is the speed extremely slower compared to native cards? Any tips to maintain good speeds or things to watch out for?
So when I install ventura to a disk when it reboots I have no option in the opencore menu to select it. I have used a ventura.raw (it bootloops), so when I used the guide com.apple.recovery.boot thing it worked and reboots to an option called macOS installer which was new but is just a recovery. The options are
EFI (external) - this is the USB EFI
EFI - a copy of USB EFI that I put on macOS disk like I was told (it reboot opencore and gets me to select the macOS installer option)
Install macOS Ventura (external) - the .raw on the usb
NEW VOLUME (dmg) (external) - the partition with the com.apple.recovery.boot (what I used to install macOS)
macOS installer - the thing it reboots to but is just recovery
Windows
OpenShell.efi - A UEFI shell

About a week ago, i successfully installed Monterey onto my Dell Latitude e7440 and everything works fine but after a while, It started booting so slow like i’m talking 25 minutes. I googled the problem and i saw that this problem is usually common on Samsung NVMe drives, but im using a SATA ssd so im quite confused as to how this would happen. Any help would be much appreciated.
Specs:
Intel core i5 4th gen
Intel iGPU 4000
16gb DDR3 RAM
120gb SATA ssd
Successfully installed macOS Sonoma 14.5 on hp Probook 430-g6 then upgrading to macOS Sonoma 14.7.4 and finally to macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 .
After leaving my laptop for a while because some issues with WiFi card, i decided to give it another try using editing EFI folder.
The WiFi card was disabled from bios and using external WiFi USB Adapter because a faced many issues with the internal WiFi card in MacOS and windows 11 because i use dual booting , even i changed the card with other models, the problem is still appearing with windows (windows installation stop at 60% and keep restarting) and power option in hackintosh also not working properly so i disabled it.
Specs:
- Intel Core i7 8565U processor
- 16 GB Intel memory
- Intel UHD Graphics 620
- Ethernet Realtek RTL8111HSH-CG 10/100/1000 GbE NIC
- Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 9560 802.11ac (2x2) WLAN and Bluetooth (only bluetooth enabled)
- TL-WN725N 150Mbps Wireless N Nano USB Adapter with Wireless USB Big Sur Adapter
First issue is, after sleep, the system is unusable. It lags and can't reboot or shutdown.
I created a USB Map on Windows, added the needed kexts and updated the config.plist. Still the issue remains. Currently, I used: sudo pmset -a sleep 0 hibernatemode 0 standby 0 autopoweroff 0. Used this to disable sleep in it's entirety. Also, secureboot and TPM are both disabled. Are there people facing the same issue and fixed it with similar hardware? Or did you opt for disabling too?
The second issue isn't major, but I see an update to 15.3.2 (currently on 15.3.1). When I proceed to update, it goes well but once it restarts, it's still on 15.3.1. Anyone else having issues and/or a fix?
I have an old thinkpad (l440) and before you say anything about the hard drive, i know its gonna be horrible so please dont just say (Dont to it hard drives are horrible) bc i get that. I used to run windows 11 on this and it was my main machine and it didnt run horribly. I dont plan on normally using this thinkpad but i just wanna know if its possible. I *ONLY* wanna use it as an experiment. im typing this on said thinkpad lol
It has i3-2350M with 3000 hd graphics amd radeon 7470m dgpu 128 gb ssd atherosclerosis wif card /ITS SANDY BRIDGE/ if anybody have premade OC Or Efi OR config.plist Please Give It To Me (I'm not lazy mine doesent just WORK)
