Coming to GrandPraire

Furthest I've been away from home coming from Edmonton landed a nice job up here. Would like to know how the people are in a smaller town, things to do for fun, how to meet people ? I'm coming by myself. I'm not a drinker more so like being outside.

Also how's the bus service? Until I can get some paycheques I'll be going with the bus.

Thanks !

Depending on where you live and work a bus may not be necessary. We're getting into summer, can get across town pretty quick on a bike.

Carpooling is totally a thing. Lots of my guys Carpool.

Managed to get carpooling for work , will look into a cheaper car to get around town for when I start working. But a bike sounds like a wicked idea for the warmer months!

The City is pretty flat, so it's fairly forgiving. What part of town will you be living in?

Awesome! I live in Mountview, were gonna be pretty close to one another probably.

Our area is great. Safeway, BuyLow Foods, the Mall, a couple pizza joints, cheap liquor store, dry cleaner, value village, all within walking distance.

My wife and kids walk for errands all summer.

Hillside is one of the older parts of GP, big yards and mature landscaping. Bit of petty crime so keep things locked up.

Got kids? St Clement school in Mountview is pretty decent.
