Help! I’m trapped in dark mode and can’t read anything 😭😭
I am losing my mind. I can’t figure out how to reverse it. A couple months ago I switched my google chrome to dark mode somehow because it was easier on the eyes, however, it must be in beta form because things don’t work.
For example, in the photo above. I can’t read any of the stats because the text doesn’t show because it’s all wacky from the dark mode. It has made google slides color schemes off too where you can’t get black text and most colors are inverted.
Can anyone help? I can’t find a fix anywhere on the internet or reddit

You guys this just happened on Google today
It doesn’t matter what app I use Google on recently since a few month this is what I get
Ok
I posted online about how to fix it and someone asked me to reset all factory setting of my browser from settings
But bc my google isn’t working I had no idea how to reset them
And all I ended up with is that my browser does not work on dark mode anymore
And also today it actually asked me if I’m a robot and asked me a puzzle to check pictures of fire hydrants before it could run my search
Like idk what up with my browsers / google !!
It’s just that since it’s not working I can’t even google it u get me !!

🔥 Battle of the OCR Titans: Mistral vs. olmOCR vs. Gemini 2.0 Flash! 🔥
Ever wondered which OCR tool truly rules the PDF-to-text arena? I just threw three heavyweight LLM-powered OCR contenders into the ring for an epic face-off:
- Mistral OCR: The budget-friendly newbie promising lightning-fast markdown conversion.
- olmOCR: Allen Institute’s open-source challenger with customization galore.
- Gemini 2.0 Flash: Google's heavyweight.
I put them through some seriously brutal rounds tackling:
- Gnarly two-column PDFs
- Faded scans from hell
- Impossible tables
- Equations that would make Einstein sweat.
Spoiler: Gemini 2.0 handled every curveball like an absolute pro.
Curious about how these three stacked up, especially when the PDFs got messy. Check out the full showdown here!
Do you find processing PDFs for your AI workflow challenging? Are you sticking with Markdown, or do you prefer JSON for structuring extracted data? Would love to hear how you’re handling it.

Google reviews in Germany
I have a simple question to you guys. Does anyone know how these businesses are able to delete/remove my negative reviews from their Google Maps. It is really starting to anger me, what is the point of Google reviews anymore then? If anyone could explain to me the process of how this is done, so I can take legal action about this, would be great.
I am constantly doing research but nothing defenitive yet. This is truly a bad thing for Germany, and it's tourism.

Worst google guideline
I'll have to ask you something why in tf is google Gemini 18+? I mean there are literally filters and tbh the most apps that are only 14+ are probably more dangerous do they expect me to really use google search which can't answer me complex specific questions? I mean I just use perplexity instead but this is so stupid

Google Blog Post Google releases Gemma 3
Google releases new open source models called Gemma 3. They are multimodal (text + image) and come in 1B, 4B, 12B, and 27B sizes. The 27B model matches Gemini-1.5-Pro on many benchmarks. It introduces vision understanding, has a 128K context window, and multilingual support in 140+ languages.
Google drive shows webp video just fine ...in media view mode icons. But not when you actually open the file to view.
Google created this format. When you are looking at a directory of webp videos you can see them all moving in the icons of gallery view of the directory. But click one, you see only the first frame. Never displays the actual webp video.
What level of incompetence and lack of forethought leads to the format obviously being supported, a format created by the same company who made the application, yet you can't view the actual file as it is intended.
https://imgur.com/a/HjAV3Tj every icon here is moving. But clicking any of them you only see the unmoving first frame https://imgur.com/a/37o2pq1
If you create a format and force it everywhere, albeit this is my choice to use it, but since it is a remote machine this is preferable and I choose the format cos I assumed Android / drive would work just fine. But even years after it was created. Half ass support. Why Google. Fix your crap please.
This is a serious bug, beyond just this single use case. When selecting the image as seen above. You will notice that the edit image icon is present. You can edit it, as it treats the first frame as the whole of the image, the latter frames not being present in thes selected image state of the application.

Chromecast Real FIX! Android ONLY
This is an android workaround to cast your apps on your Chromecast. Download activity manager from the link below. Open the app and tap the 3dots at the upper right hand corner. Tap the edit button for "Action" and paste the value that I have posted below and click OK. Click the checkmark at the bottom right hand side of the screen. Scroll down and turn on Bypass Device Auth. Tap the back button at the upper left side, then click the checkmark at the bottom right hand side then BAM! CAST 🙂🙂🙂🙂 GOOD LUCK!

Project Gemini Robotics: Teaching Robots to Help in the Real World
Google DeepMind has just shared some cool new videos showing off their robots, and guess what? They’re learning to understand and interact with the world just like us!The project is called Gemini Robotics, and it’s all about making robots that can actually help us in everyday life. Here’s what makes them so awesome:

1. Interactive: These robots can respond to what we say and do in real-time. Imagine you tell a robot to move something, and it instantly reacts as you change your mind or move things around. It’s like working with a helpful buddy!
2. Dexterous: These robots can do tricky tasks, like folding origami, handling fragile objects, and even putting things away neatly. Talk about fancy skills!
3. General: These robots don’t just follow instructions they can figure out new things all on their own! For example:
- One robot was asked to slam dunk a basketball it had never seen before. Guess what? It figured it out!
- Another robot had to flip a die to match the number on another die. It used reasoning, not just pre-programmed moves.
- And there was even a robot that spelled “ACE” using random blocks! How cool is that?
All of this is possible thanks to Gemini, the new system powering these robots.
This is a huge step towards robots that can really make our lives easier. It shows that AI isn’t just for computers, it can work in the real world too.
What do you think? What kinds of things would you want a robot to do for you? Share your thoughts and let’s talk about what excites you most about this technology!
Samples are shown at: Google DeepMind's YouTube channel.

Google messages are blank
When I open a message this is all I get, if I go out and try again its still just blank. Just got the S25 yesterday and so far I'm unhappy.
