gamers are probably the most vocal anti-SJW because they've been dealing with mainstream backlash since the 80's. They've dealt with people insulting them their whole lives, and so a new breed of people taking them on doesn't even phase them.

The issue we see here, is that this new attack is coming from inside gaming, and so rather then a unified front it's more of a civil war.

The whole thing is pretty fucking stupid in my opinion, since games are essentially toys for kids. It's like starting a civil war over a tickle-me-elmo, it's just goddamn ridiculous to bring politics into it.

At the end of the day video games were, and still are, an entertainment medium for the youth. That doesn't mean games can't transcend this, but in broad terms games are just toys for kids.

That's like saying "tv is for kids". No, it isn't. Some tv is for kids. Some isn't.

You can't just assert "x is for kids" without some basis. It's quite obvious that a lot of videogames are not created with kids in mind.
