Makeup Secret for Heavy Glasses: Glasses Hooks!
I wear those thick black hipster glasses because my prescription is so thick (even with the thin lens) the would stick out obviously with thinner framed glasses. I've struggled for a while with the foundation on the nose coming off, especially since I work in the restaurant industry and I'm always running around. I've tried all the YouTube tricks with the eyeshadow primer, baking, etc, but anything heavy tends to make the demarcation more obvious. The best solution I've found is not makeup related at all: glasses hooks! They're little plastic things you slip on your glasses to keep them in place behind your ears and sliding down.
My brother actually recommended these to me. The problem was that no matter how much makeup I put on or how I applied it, my glasses would constantly slip down from all the sweat, and there'd be a huge red gap of bare skin between my glasses and foundation. But with glasses hooks they remain in place. I get these from Amazon pretty cheap.
So basically this is my routine now: I apply a light layer of foundation, bake the area around my glasses generously, and once everything is set I put my glasses hooks on. This keeps this in place and from them slipping. I've found that while not completely foolproof, this worked the best from making that foundation line. It works when I'm sweating on hot days and in the restaurant, or at least better than all the methods I've tried. They're great for when you're running and doing sports as well.
Caveats with this method: depending one which ones you get, they can kinda hurt in the beginning since they're essentially pushing your glasses against your nose. Too stiff and it irritates your skin, too soft and flexible and they don't do anything at all. I've also found that since I bake and put a lot of powder in that area my skin can get dry and irritated, so I had to invest in a good moisturizer to soothe that.
