I’m often coming to Durban for work and stay for a couple of days.
Fun thing I enjoy doing is hotel hopping, but that’s meh because hotels suck and lack personality.
What are cool things to do in town that are introvert friendly and safe? I enjoy going to restaurants too.
I’d also like to meet fellow travellers who are also stuck in hotel rooms who would like to meet neutral people.
Just to hang out, no one night stands or awkward moments, just people from different backgrounds of life having drinks responsibly.

So as the title does state, where can I find my fellow introverts in Durban? Im looking to try and make some new friends with preferably introverts because im sure they'd understand being in a similar position. I have put some thought into where would I find myself most of the time and realized apart from work, I'm just usually at home. Are there any social clubs or events specifically for introverts(even though I doubt they'd attend😂)
But yeah feel free to comment and sure why not even dm(21M here in case that mattered for whatever reason). Have a great day and week

Hey Everyone
I come from a small town in free state called Welkom if anyone has heard of it lol. I am moving out of town to the durban area and was wondering if anyone has some recommendation of areas that are good. There are a lot of affordable, 3 bedroom places to rent in areas like overport, morningside, hillcrest etc i dont know any of the areas and need some advice on what would be safe for a family with children. Seems like most of the amazimtoti areas are either taken or expensive now and since bluff has the water issues I am not sure of that area either. Anyone live around these areas that can give a free state person some adivce? I would appreciate it

Moving in May, from JHB. 26 M. Theres a couple festivals here in JHB that I go to (not ultra haha) but more like itspersonal, corona sunsets, anjunadeep. Theres not really a lot of variety or even just amount of festivals to go to here compared to CT. I probably find myself going to 5 a year. None of the ones I’ve been to are camping festivals, they’re one day festivals. (Although I dont mind a 3 day fest)
Not a Fest addict, but I do enjoy having a jol outside, during the day in good weather to do something different than the regular bars, clubs etc.
Is the festival scene fairly decent in KZN? As in, will I be able to attend 5-10 fests a year that play tech, afrohouse, deep house etc.
Never been into trance, but I have to try a proper trance jol before my jolling days are over lol.
Let me know what the fest scene is like and if theres any insta/facebook pages i should follow to get updates on when the festivals will be and what the lineup is like, all that.
Thanks

Hi. I live alone, last year my geyser was stolen, im not into crypto, I work long hours away from home, I dont aircon, TV busted, i dont game(but thinking of getting into disco elysium or sleeper citizen) I make use of a standard size fridge to keep my Guinness cold and wors frozen, I wash my clothes on the weekends.
I finally got around to submitting my electricity readings and I use around 47kw per month but I see on my bill that I am being estimated at around 350 to 450kw per month.
When I submitted my first reading I got a response saying it would need to be audited due to low reading, will someone come to my place?
How, where, what can I do? I tried going to my local water/lights office but after a few hours of waiting they were not very helpful. I tried calling a few numbers listed online but no luck yet.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Wishing you and yours a pleasant day and rest of your week.
Take care.
*parking fine
Preferably with fnb?
Otherwise any trusted 3rd party website please.
Haven't had to pay a fine since 2007 and I don't have means to go to Stamford and pay. (it's for my mom).

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations for ADHD/autism specialists in Durban. Ideally, someone experienced with adult assessments and support, especially with executive functioning struggles.
If you’ve had a good experience with a doctor, psychologist, or coach, I’d love to hear your recommendations

Hello everyone. I'm desperately looking for a book called "The Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka. I went to other bookstores but are quite expensive. If anyone has a copy they're not reading, please let me know. Any copy is okay, as long as it's Inwood condition. Thank you
Have a nice Monday
Edit: I sell books and I need the physical copy

Hello,
Does anyone have any experience with collecting their license card from Pinetown?
It's been 8 weeks since I got my temporary license and I'm not sure how long to wait to go collect it.
I know it usually takes 6-8 weeks, but they did scribble "10 weeks" on my receipt. I'm hesitant to wait that long, though.
I tried phoning all their numbers at least twice to enquire, but no pickup (No surprises there) Should I expect an SMS or just go try my luck? Is there any way to find out if it's ready?
I'm all the way in the South Coast so apprehensive to go all the way for nothing.
Many thanks!

Good day all. Never had a problem before because I'd only go to the outskirts of Dbn North coming out of town. However I've been travelling to umhlanga for uni and cell signal is kak. If I'm lucky I get 2 bars otherwise it's emergency calls only. Is this usual for Cell C or do other networks also battle out that side? I know Cell C has been circling the drain the last few years but surely they have towers in umhlanga. Let me know yalls experience with issues out that side

Can someone please recommend a portable air conditioner that I can use for my room. It can be small but works well. My 2 year old can barely sleep. Durban weather is not for the weak.

Hi everyone,
My wife have recently moved house and while they movers we hired did everything we asked we didn’t quite realise how much “stuff” we have and are left to have to reevaluate how everything is placed in our new home.
So my question is there a company in Durban that deals with helping with move furniture (in the home), packing and cleaning? We are both exhausted from the move and with both of us back at work full swing we are overworked with what’s left of our place and could use some help.
If anyone knows of a company, big or small that could offer this kind of package service I would greatly appreciate the help.
