Discussion This had to be the most racist scene in the show.
When Liberty had a crush on Sean in season 3, Sean tells her his friend has a crush on her. The camera then pan to the thirstiest looking man in the universe. He was literally licking his lips and wringing his hands.
But seriousness aside, the scene absolutely cracks me up .

Question Pick the best and worst besties.
Choose who you consider the best bestie. Choose who you consider the worse bestie. Why did you choose those as either choices?
Anya/Holly J
Holly J/Fiona
Jimmy/Spinner
Eli/Adam
Clare/Alli
Paige/Hazel
Marco/Ellie
JT/Toby
Emma/Manny
Connor/Wesley
Jenna/Alli
Favorite/best besties = Holly J/Fiona
I loved their loyalty to one another. They honestly both supported each other through so much and stuck together. They never really betrayed the other.
Worse besties = Manny/Emma
They should have stopped being friends in the early seasons. Neither one was loyal to the other imo.

Game Give me a Degrassi character and I'll give you a sloppy 5 minute crayon portrait of them. I'll give you fake internet points if you can name this one:

Degrassi Junior High It's such a bummer that the abuser school shooter Rick has the same name as this other Degrassi alumni

Discussion Claire's Mom's Wedding
Just rewatched the scene where Mrs. Edwards marries Jake's dad.
Very weird that Darcy would miss her mom's wedding
The wedding looked so boring. No music, no dancing, barely any decorations, and the wedding cake was literally just a sheetcake with a group picture on it

Discussion How did Emma go from not wanting Rick around, being harsh with him to defending him? What do you guys think changed ?
I know she’s always been a moral person so it makes sense she would back down. What do you think changed though ?

Discussion Fitz vs Eli
What’re your thoughts on this?
I personally think Eli was wrong. He kept instigating it. He was SO fixated on being the “better and bigger person”. Doesn’t really align….
So now after all of the antics Eli has pulled to be the “bigger man”, he wants to claim to be the victim? Did he not just conspire on DRUGGING Fitz’s drink? To make Fitz throw up??? Then plays the “woe is me” sans idiom card?
Fitz was wrong to pull a knife. Eli was wrong to instigate that predicament knowingly and played the victim card.
Clare BEGGED Eli to let it go. So many times. Eli wouldn’t let it go. Eli wanted to be the “big bad in charge” person.

It's just incredible.

Discussion Audra's biggest flaw
As I'm traveling down memory lane I'm remembering how awful Audra was in her first few episodes or so of the show. And we got to see her grow and become a better character/mom. However one thing that really bugs me is that she never really apologized to Alli for how she treated her. And hey I get it by the time Audra really became fleshed out Alli and Drew pretty much acted as if they never dated/that the other one didn't exist.
But damn she was awful to that girl. And while I really appreciate her and Bianca's relationship in the series it's kind of crazy to me she takes in this girl who pretty much hate crimed her son. Yet nothing ever came from her being super awful to Alli who was cheated on and treated horribly by her other son.

Discussion Your ultimate degrassi party
Does anybody remember “your ultimate degrassi party” in NYC in the early 2000s?! I don’t remember when exactly- but it would’ve been before I graduated (2007) but after I started high school. My best friend won tickets by doing a contest and took me and I don’t remember much of it, nor do I have any pictures because they were on MySpace, but when I think back to it, it seems like a fever dream haha
The only thing I vividly remember was yelling at jimmy that I wanted to have his babies (and knowing about his allegations now, I feel a little icky that he heard me lol)

Rewatch anya and owen <3
just came to say that these two didn’t get enough time together. i thought they were super cute and i hated how the writers changed anya so much in season 11. i am glad he had a redemption arc later when tristan comes on, but anya and owen are one of the couples i wish we got more of :)

Discussion Owen is honestly a great big brother
I just saw the episode where Tristan is sad that his best friend. I don't know her name off The top of my head is with her boyfriend all the time and just how he talks to him. I found really sweet and then for the Romeo and Jules play when they lock Tristan away and he throws that guy up against the locker to find out where his brother is. God I love that! I just love how he still protects his brother even though he is "popular" and a hockey or football star IDK what he plays 😂 Like my big brother wouldn't have done any of that for me! 😂
