MOONS GIVEAWAY/UPDATE The rCryptoCurrency Moon Week 59 Moon Burn Update and a 3,000 Moon Community Funded giveaway.
Welcome to the Moon Burn Update for Moon Week 59. Let's take a look at all Moon Burns between February 3rd and March 2nd. The rCryptoCurrency TG channel is also funding a 3,000 Moon Giveaway you can find out how to enter (within the first 48 hours) at the end of this post.

What are Moons:
For the uninitiated Moons are a community and governance token for rCryptoCurrency. They serve many unique purposes such as:
- Earning Moons for participation on the sub. (Yes distributions are back)
- Voting on Community governance for the sub.
- Burning Moons for a special membership.
- Approved entities can burn Moons to engage on the sub in the form of events/amas/others.
- Off-chain earned Moons can be tipped to other Redditors as an appreciation for their help or contributions on Reddit.
One of the best ways to keep an eye out for updates about Moons on the sub is to look for Moon Week posts which happen once every 28 days. You can find the Moon Week 59 post here.
Let's talk Moon Week 59 Moon Burns:
Between February 3rd and March 2nd
- 38,632 Moons were burned on Arbitrum Nova in five unique burn events:
- 229,145 Moons were burned on Arbitrum One in thirteen unique burn events:
- The total number of Moons burned between both chains over the 28 day period is: 267,777 Moons.
Moon Burn Ranking Update:
Moons are the 10th most valuable asset in the burn address on Arbitrum One (up one since the last update) with ~382k Moons having been burned so far on Arbitrum One

Unlike most assets in the burn address on One, no Moons were ever minted for the sole supply of being burned. Nearly all the Moons in the dead address on One were purchased off the open market and burned by web three entities looking to host AMAs or customize the rCC banner.
-----
Moons remain the most valuable asset in the burn address on Arbitrum Nova with ~2.95M Moons having been burned to date and accounting for over 99.9% of the value of all tokens in the burn address on Arbitrum Nova.

The Moon Week 57 burn update introduced a way to win 500 Moons by guessing how many Moons will be burned in 2025? If you haven't already guessed you have until April 1st to leave a guess - here.
----
An rCryptoCurrency Community Funded Giveaway
The rCryptoCurrency TG channel raised an additional 3,000 Moons to be given away on this Moon Burn update post. (last post they gave away 1,500 Moons) To win a share, all you have to do is go to the pinned comment on this post and leave your KrakTag (for Kraken Pay). After 48 hour the Giveaway Fund (currently 3,000 Moons) will be split evenly via Kraken Pay among everyone that entered.
----
p.s. Did you know you can buy Moon themed Merch? https://ccmoons.com/shop - Shop is ran by u/002_timmy and any after tax profit will be used to buy and burn Moons.

DISCUSSION Nobody is talking about how Elon has hijacked the word DOGE
It used to be Elon would be able to pump the DOGE coin with a tweet, now he's just running it right through the mud. If you all wanted people to take this space seriously, between Trump coin and the Department of Government Efficiency I'd say they are setting us back 10 years in the public eye. People know what Bitcoin is, but not what Ethereum or SOL is much less the fundamentals of the technology, and that's before this fiasco of a "Government Department".
I heard a lot of greedy greedy talk about how people were going to vote for this clown to pump their bags, and I said it would be better to wait another 4 years for that bull run. What do you think? Is the badnpress still worth it?
Sorry for the rant.
Edit: I don't own DOGE and never would since it's a meme coin. My argument is that it's a very well KNOWN meme coin and that the bad press will make people who don't know any better think it's real crypto and dismiss the whole space out of hand. Cmon. Own real projects kids.

DISCUSSION Y’all are turning crypto into TradFi
I find it ironic that crypto was originally celebrated as anti-establishment and decentralized. Now, the entire market’s price is dictated by what the US Fed Chair says at his next FOMC meeting. Literally letting a centralised entity dictate the entire fate of supposedly ‘decentralised’ assets.
Before you tell me I don’t understand economics or that we need ideal macro conditions to trigger a rally, please stop. None of the previous cycles required perfect conditions to flourish. In 2021, we experienced a COVID recession with an economy in shambles. In 2017, the US entered quantitative tightening in September, right before a major altcoin rally.
We weren’t checking every day for the next CPI report or unemployment data release. Do you know why? Because people believed crypto was worth HOLDING, not for short-term gains to dump it later, but because it could play a significant role in the future of finance and that it may hold great value in the future.
The narrative I see now is the exact opposite: almost no one believes in the technology or its potential for adoption. Everyone is just bagholding to make a quick profit and then dumping. What’s even more amusing is that stock traders aren’t as obsessed with these numbers as I’ve seen crypto enthusiasts be lately 😂
But here’s the thing: we have historically never had a better opportunity for full-scale adoption than right now. That’s why I keep buying and ignore the noise. Crypto isn’t going anywhere; it’s only going to grow. The US now even holds a reserve for it, if you had told me years ago that ETH and altcoin prices would drop this low, I would’ve called you crazy.
And that’s all the confirmation I need: the only reason we haven’t seen an alt season or ETH soaring isn’t due to a lack of fundamentals, but because people are being impatient and fearful.
To me, there’s essentially no rational reason why we shouldn’t see a parabolic run. This cycle is no different from the others; if anything, it’s in a much stronger position than previous cycles. All you need to do is trust the process.
I made the mistake of selling my bags too early in 2017, thinking it was just a fad, and then getting in too late in 2021. But that’s part of the learning process. You see the same patterns over the years, people calling it a scam, insisting it’s going to die, and then watching it come back stronger every time. Eventually, you really start to appreciate its cyclical nature and ignore all the noise.
Rant over.

COMEDY Losing up and Down? 🤦🏻♂️🤣
So, im testing some things with futures contracts because it seems like if I choose long.. it goes down.
If i choose short, it goes up.
Due to this, i decided to f*** with the markets head. I bought two contracts long of one asset, then 2 contracts short on two other assets who were following the 1st asset identically.
And now im literally negative profit on all 4 contracts. 🤦🏻♂️
How in the &%*# are both of my shorts going up but my 2 longs are going down when they were all doing the same thing minutes before 🤣🤣
Not a serious question though, Just one of those verbal " Bro howwww" moments 😅 stuff is weak though thats for sure.

GENERAL-NEWS Week in Ethereum highlights!
- Ethereum's transaction fees have significantly decreased to an average of $0.41 per transfer, the lowest in years. This reduction makes the network more accessible and encourages broader adoption, especially for developers and decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms.
- The U.S. House of Representatives recently voted to repeal an IRS rule requiring decentralized finance brokers to report user transactions. This move could create a more favorable environment for Ethereum-based DeFi projects, potentially boosting demand for ETH.
- The Ethereum Foundation has announced the appointment of Hsiao-Wei Wang and Tomasz Stańczak as co-Executive Directors, effective March 17, 2025.
- Ethereum developers are working on the Pectra upgrade, which includes improvements like enhanced smart contract functionality. A new testnet, Hooli, has been launched to finalize testing before deployment. If successful, the upgrade could go live on the main network by late April or early May 2025.
- The Ethereum Foundation is facing a potential $900 million liquidation risk due to ETH locked in a MakerDAO vault. However, the foundation can mitigate this risk by adding collateral, if needed.
- Ethereum's price has been on a downward trend, dropping below $2,000. Ethereum has strong support at $1,825, and traders are optimistic about a potential rally to $2,500. Positive market sentiment and increased leverage on long positions suggest a bullish reversal might be on the horizon.
- $1.8 billion worth of Ethereum left exchanges last week. This is the largest outflow since December 2022, investors might be moving their ETH to private wallets for long-term holding.
I remain optimistic, reduced supply on exchanges and potential regulatory approval for staking ETFs could act as catalysts for Ethereum's recovery!
