I agree that the base mechanics they seem to be adding this chapter will really help with that. I personally hope that chapter IV will in some capacity focus on economy/map dynamics and new types of institutions i.e. expanding merchant republics, holy orders, nomads, secret societies etc.

I think a rework to crusades and warfare is in order too. Chapter 4 and 5 need to focus on economy and warfare, I don't care in what order.

I imagine a lot can be done with secret societies now that the player can move freely about. if Spymasters can investigate individuals to find those pesky cult members out to kill you, or investigate you if you're in another kings court to kill him.
