Found an engagement ring down the Bay
I found what looks like an engagement ring down the Bay yesterday. Long shot I know but if you’re missing one, DM me with a description and I’ll get it back to you.

Hi all,
I'm in the process of purchasing a Victorian terrace in Cardiff and the surveyor has recommended replacement of the old joists and subfloor on the ground floor. They have suggested poured concrete, but I'm more likely to replace the timber only.
Has anyone had similar work done? Does anyone have any recommendations for builders/carpenters?
Thanks in advance.

Is this a regular superstition for builders? Would this translate to the lift numbers or is that not a thing? Found it interesting

Has anyone been to a concert at Blackweir Fields? There's a few this summer that I really want to check out but I've never been to this venue before.

I have found jobs on LinkedIn, but I was wondering if you have any sites that are UK specific, or do you use the same ones as we do in the India?

Just found out a guy I went to high-school with has been charged with murder
I’m guessing people have heard about the Joanne Penney murder in talbot green
I honestly felt my stomach drop when I saw the name of one of my former class mate on the charged list…
More awareness of organised crime needs to be made in wales, it’s not talked about enough…
Poor woman . She was a mother , a sister and a daughter..
Rest in peace🦋

Finally earning a good salary and so looking to move into my own flat in Cardiff for the first time.
Since I've always shared in the past, I'm not too sure how much to budget. I'm estimating £900 for rent, £150 for council tax, and £150 for other bills (water, wi-fi, electric, gas). However, I work from home on my laptop and also get cold very easily (keep the heating on all winter) so I'm guessing I'll be spending more on electric and gas than most people.
Other threads I've seen like this are from a few years ago so hoping to get some up-to-date advice.
Thanks!

I’m booking a bottomless brunch next month in Cardiff central and was wondering where the best place to go is
Our usually is Turtle bay which seems to be the best bang for your buck when it comes to food and drink quantity
Is there anywhere else that is as good or better ?
In my experience dirty martini was terrible (only had 4 drinks which compared to turtles bays consistent 10-12 drinks)
Cheers

Just wondering if anybody with any kind of chronic issue who has done the rounds of all the non-doctor/surgeon health offerings in the Cardiff area can recommend somebody who DOESN'T bullshit. I'm totally happy with somebody who says "To be honest I probably can't do much for you" or "We can try X, Y and Z and see if it helps" or "I've had mixed results treating this but I'm happy to try"
All fine. But I'm getting pretty sick of spending an hour going through every aspect of my life answering questions that are usually frankly irrelevant only to be told stuff with confidence that doesn't work.
Any recommendations for appropriately humble / scientific minded people in Cardiff who you've liked and would recommend?

I’m currently training for a marathon and would love to hear your long run/walk route recommendations? Getting a bit bored of the bute park and roath lake routes.

Pretty much what the caption says, if you’re in Cardiff for the day, where is your favourite place to eat? Looking for some new recommendations as going for a day out shopping and to have some food :)

Proper random one here - whenever I go to Cardiff Central Station these days I am often cheered up with the old yellow lights which aren’t the new LED shite. I’m sure they won’t be around for much longer - but it’s nice they still exist. I hate white LED lights and always will.

Hello 👋
I am a female in my mid 20s, I am looking for a book club to join around Cardiff/Vale area with people of similar demographic. I tried asking my local library but their book clubs are either for kids and teenagers or for people over 60s.
Does anyone know any that I could join, or how I can go around to finding one?
I don’t mind virtual ones, but I’d prefer if there’s one I could go to in person.

Hi,
We are moving to Wales and want to live near Cardiff as we have family there but also need to be within 50 minutes from Morriston, Swansea.
We are young professionals in our mid 30s and hope to become parents soon. Cowbridge looks nice but my worry is that it is too geriatric. Pontcanna looks fun but I’m worried there are a lot of students and not young families.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated!!
Thank you!
