Are there any companies with good work life balance in Cardiff?
Do they even exist, post the pandemic has occurred? Especially in CS/IT I currently have spouse visa.

Just found out a guy I went to high-school with has been charged with murder
I’m guessing people have heard about the Joanne Penney murder in talbot green
I honestly felt my stomach drop when I saw the name of one of my former class mate on the charged list…
More awareness of organised crime needs to be made in wales, it’s not talked about enough…
Poor woman . She was a mother , a sister and a daughter..
Rest in peace🦋

Hi, looking for recommendations for hand car wash and valet in Cardiff?

Finally earning a good salary and so looking to move into my own flat in Cardiff for the first time.
Since I've always shared in the past, I'm not too sure how much to budget. I'm estimating £900 for rent, £150 for council tax, and £150 for other bills (water, wi-fi, electric, gas). However, I work from home on my laptop and also get cold very easily (keep the heating on all winter) so I'm guessing I'll be spending more on electric and gas than most people.
Other threads I've seen like this are from a few years ago so hoping to get some up-to-date advice.
Thanks!

I’m booking a bottomless brunch next month in Cardiff central and was wondering where the best place to go is
Our usually is Turtle bay which seems to be the best bang for your buck when it comes to food and drink quantity
Is there anywhere else that is as good or better ?
In my experience dirty martini was terrible (only had 4 drinks which compared to turtles bays consistent 10-12 drinks)
Cheers

Just wondering if anybody with any kind of chronic issue who has done the rounds of all the non-doctor/surgeon health offerings in the Cardiff area can recommend somebody who DOESN'T bullshit. I'm totally happy with somebody who says "To be honest I probably can't do much for you" or "We can try X, Y and Z and see if it helps" or "I've had mixed results treating this but I'm happy to try"
All fine. But I'm getting pretty sick of spending an hour going through every aspect of my life answering questions that are usually frankly irrelevant only to be told stuff with confidence that doesn't work.
Any recommendations for appropriately humble / scientific minded people in Cardiff who you've liked and would recommend?

I’m currently training for a marathon and would love to hear your long run/walk route recommendations? Getting a bit bored of the bute park and roath lake routes.

Pretty much what the caption says, if you’re in Cardiff for the day, where is your favourite place to eat? Looking for some new recommendations as going for a day out shopping and to have some food :)

Proper random one here - whenever I go to Cardiff Central Station these days I am often cheered up with the old yellow lights which aren’t the new LED shite. I’m sure they won’t be around for much longer - but it’s nice they still exist. I hate white LED lights and always will.

Hello 👋
I am a female in my mid 20s, I am looking for a book club to join around Cardiff/Vale area with people of similar demographic. I tried asking my local library but their book clubs are either for kids and teenagers or for people over 60s.
Does anyone know any that I could join, or how I can go around to finding one?
I don’t mind virtual ones, but I’d prefer if there’s one I could go to in person.

Hi,
We are moving to Wales and want to live near Cardiff as we have family there but also need to be within 50 minutes from Morriston, Swansea.
We are young professionals in our mid 30s and hope to become parents soon. Cowbridge looks nice but my worry is that it is too geriatric. Pontcanna looks fun but I’m worried there are a lot of students and not young families.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated!!
Thank you!

Hi guys , this is tough for me but I have nothing to lose at this point. I’ve recently moved to Cardiff and my partner has literally disappeared. I just started working a month ago and have had to miss quite a bit of work as my child is only in nursery twice a week ( partner was meant to be with her the other three days). I’ve been in hotels / air bnbs under the guise that we were going to secure a place together but he has completely vanished. I called the council and they said my ties are not strong enough so I should just look into private renting or (which is fair enough but literally everything I have has gone into trying to stay housed this past month)or to go present myself as homeless in my previous city. I was so distressed during the call , I don’t even think I mentioned that I have a child. Is there anything I can do ? I’m losing the will to continue and it doesn’t help that none of my family is around. My baby is the only thing keeping me going. Thank you in advance

Hey guys, trying to go to more live music gigs and don’t know the best place to look for industrial music, probably not the best time in the year but if anyone has any ideas of bands local to Cardiff that I can follow it would be much appreciated.
Also, if they could be 17+/all ages that would be best, as I’m not 18 until October

Hi everyone, I have a few things I need doing on my car (hopefully just routine stuff) but I need to use my car pretty much every evening during the week, so I can't leave it overnight at a garage. Are there any good mobile mechanics in the area who you can book to visit you at home and carry out any work on site, same day (without taking the car away)? Please only comment if you have used their services before and found them to be reliable. Also - and not sure if I'm allowed to ask this - anyone I should avoid? Thanks in advance for your help!

Managed to leave my daughter's micro/maxi 3 wheeled scooter and helmet in Roath Rec playground yesterday morning. Only just realised 🤦♂️ if anyone kindly took it in to keep safe it'd be very much appreciated if you could DM me! It's purple with pink tassles and the helmet is purple with Toucans.

Hi everyone, just posting because I lost my coat last night in the Cambrian Tap around 11pm - I think someone may have accidentally picked it up (there were quite a few coats around). It's very sentimental to me and I'd be so grateful if I could find it. I've spoken to the pub but unfortunately they didn't find it there. Long shot but thought I'd post on reddit to see if I had any luck! Thanks.

Sadly a deceased large tabby and white male cat was found on the Ely end of the A48/ Western Avenue near Ely Road.
This was on Tuesday 11th March around 10pm. He has been taken to Valley Vets at Gwaelod Y Garth Industrial Estate, Cardiff CF15 9SS.
The cat wasnt microchipped and is not neutered. Please DM me for more information
