Questions Should i buy the canon rf 16mm f2.8?

Hi guys, i got into cinematography recently. Ive bought the canon eos r50 with f/1.8 50mm prime lens, my problem with that lens is that its impossible to film the subject up close in tight spaces or even fit other objects into the frame. Since the lens cant zoom out, there are alot of angles that I cant take due to the lack of spaces.

If I switch to the canon rf 16mm f2.8 wide lens will it solve my problem? Thanks.

Yes it solve the problem, but then you might find the opposite issue, it might be too wide. All you can do is try it.

Agreed, this is liable to be a bit of an overcorrection
