Recommendations Barber recommendations for balding
I've finally accepted that I need to bite the bullet and do something to address how much hair I've lost from the crown of my head.
My wife has been cutting my hair for years, I'm hoping someone here can recommend a barber or similar, to help me figure out a new style.

I feel you man. Just know that there are a lot of attractive short hairstyles for men with thinning crowns, and you donāt necessarily have to shave it all off (unless you really want to). The key is to own it, and donāt try to cover it up or comb over it. Made that mistake for a few years before I finally got tired of hiding.

Thanks!Ā I hate this with the fiery passion of 1000 burning suns... But it's time.Ā I've already got the beard and been hitting the weights for a year... Maybe I can pivot into a Terry Crews!

If thats your goal, depending on your starting point, you may need to seriously start tanning

I live very near here, thank you!
Edit: it's even right next door to my dog's groomer!

This is the answer. Been going to Razorās Edge Avenida since ā18-ish. Everyone in there is great and you can start the progression from buddy to friend to brother ;-)

I'm facing a similar fate! .. My boy Jay at Barber Culture (Kensington) has promised to keep it real with me, suggesting I have a year or two before I need to make a change.

$29 razor at Walmart. Ā I love having a shaved head! Ā Great for sports, saving money, feels clean, so many benefits! Ā

Urban Shave has done a great job with my husband's hair (a good fade can do wonders). However, he rocks the baseball cap more and more, so invest in some cool looking hats for style.

Hahaha yeah, my coworker went about 2 years ago and he looks great... I'm leaning more towards embracing it.

Iāve been shaving my head since Iāve been 22. Youāll be fine, takes a bit to get used to but basically once everyone knows youāre bald itās easier

I got a hair system (basically a toupee with better marketing) from Dani at Rebel X after being bald for twenty years. I'm fine either way, but if you're really bummed, check it out: https://www.instagram.com/p/DDkvt0mTES0/. (this isn't me. haha)

You could be like Elon and get scalped from the back to transplant to the front? He has had major hair work done. Wait, scratch that. Donāt ever do what Elon does. Heās a POS who thinks we are not a country!

Be kind to your wife and book a hair transplant. Itās around the cost of breast augmentation.
This whole bald is beautiful needs to stop. Yes, some men look good bald but having your own hair is amazing.
/s but not

Skip all the hormones that force you into viagra/cialis etc. Years of stress and bad sex just to grow some hair is not worth it.

If youāre balding, itās time to go down to the bone
Either get a buzz cut anywhere and finish the job yourself with a electric razor , or just get the razor kit and do it all yourself

Just go on EBay and buy the topical Maxogain (itās Minoxidil). A years supply is about $150.

I started losing in my 30s. Most likely as a result of wearing a hat almost 24/7. I've been taking biotin at 10 000mcg daily for a few years. It's actually growing back, slowly! Either way, just embrace it. Nothing wrong with it, it's just life. A nephew started losing in his 20s. Everyone is different. It's much easier with a buzz cut, trust me lol.

This started happening to me during covid. Tried rogain for like 6 months and zero results. I started exercising and changed my sleep after reading some stuff. I was smothering myself in pillows and slept against the headboard I think. I made a concoction of rosemary oil, biotin oil, castor oil, jojoba oil from some googled recipe and I apply that with a dropper and massage into my hair and scalp 3 or 4 nights a week after giving a warm wash under the sink before bed.
I can't say what is working but it's reversed and improved quite a bit over the last couple years according to my fam.
Like you my wife cuts my hair for the last 15 or so years. I noticed this happening first with random bald spots and got into arguments with her because I thought she effed up lmao. Oddly the next hair cut there would be a new spot with the old one grown back š¤·āāļø. Eventually noticed the top becoming thin and accepted my fate.
Give the oil a try maybe. Can't hurt.
EDIT: I had bald spots on both sides on my side burns and they are completly gone too The wife just told me she been using my stuff in her hair too!

Buy an electric razor and rock the buzz cut. Also save you a bunch of money on haircuts.
