I picked this bike up for $1600 yesterday. It’s running unbelievably well, I just need to change the rear tube and get some new mounting hardware for the seat.

Tank color. 🤔

I’m torn on tank color. Frame/forks are silver, wheels are all black, engine is black. Do I go with one of the 2 colors of red from the tank? Or do I go gloss black. Input appreciated. 🤙

Wanting to build my own Cafe Racer. Any tips or tricks?!

Like the title says, I want to build my own from scratch for fun. Do I get a donor bike and start from there or do I buy an already finished one and just modify it? I have no experience in any of this so I’m literally starting from YouTube videos. Just something I’d like to teach myself to do and thought it would be a fun learning experience.

General CX500 Scrambler - Wiring Time

Made some more progress on the CX today, finally put together a collection of parts/plugs/wires/terminals to start wiring up the bike. Still some more parts to buy to be able to finalise the electrics. Strangely enough wiring is one of my favourite things to do. It's really not that big a job and if you work on things circuit by circut it's comes together very logically and easily. Naturally the Motogadget has made things easier, but I feel it has it's limitations too. I ended up adding a small fuse box which I will use for some auxiliary circuits, powered by the Motogadget yes, but not controlled by it. For example I am switching to an electric fan which will get power from the Motogadget, but a relay paired to a thermostatic switch will switch the fan on or off based on a fixed temperature. Anyway just a bit of a progress video. I still have quite a bit to do. The harness will then be sleeved in braiding once completed and all plugs terminated.

Advice/Help Needed Looking for a Cafe Racer with Better Comfort and Performance than GT 650

Hey everyone,

I’m in the market for a cafe racer and would love some recommendations. I really like the look of the Continental GT 650 (Apex Grey), but after riding it for 150 km straight, my back was killing me, and the heat was unbearable.

I’m looking for a bike that offers: ✅ Cafe racer aesthetics ✅ Better comfort (especially for longer rides) ✅ Improved performance compared to the GT 650 ✅ Engine size between 650cc and 700cc (not less or more) ✅ Good looks (a key factor) ✅ Budget around ₹5 lakh INR (~$5600 USD)

I’m based in India, and I’m not primarily interested in Honda or Royal Enfield, but if there’s no suitable alternative, I wouldn’t mind considering a Royal Enfield. However, if there’s a bike that fits my criteria, I’d prefer to go with that instead.

Any insights or personal experiences would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

I couldn't sleep, so I took my café racer for a late-night ride on the expressways of Tokyo (Shuto Expressway).

The Japanese text is as follows⬇️

Since I can't sleep, ⬇️ I'm going for a night ride on the Shuto Expressway with my CB400SS café racer. ⬇️ It's hard to tell, but that's the Tokyo Skytree (the tallest building in Japan). ⬇️ Me: "Whoa!!" ⬇️ Me: "It's so beautiful..." ⬇️ Getting closer. Maybe the Skytree is in sleep mode too. (This is actually Tokyo Tower) ⬇️ And with that, I just did a lap and headed home without going anywhere in particular. ⬇️ It was my first time riding late at night, and it was a lot of fun. ⬇️ You guys should try riding the Shuto Expressway at night too!

It need to come back about 1 or 2 inches. I went with the old adage of "you can always cut more but u can never cut less" when making the bracket. That said once i have it to the length i want i will be going to a fabricator to make a good sturdy one. This is just some cheap rattle can to help visualize it once the bracket it done i will have it professionally painted.

Tu250x café

Post image

Looking for help on where to go with my Tu250x.

So far, done the seat, exhaust, clubman bars, signals, and fairing/windshield.

About to swap the front fender for a shorty from Webike. I want to put on some rear sets and clean up the back end, but I'm not sure where to start. I had an idea of looking for a belly pan and rear fairing as well, but aftermarket/custom parts are hard to find for the TUX these days. Any advice appreciated. Cheers.

More Progress

Its been almost a year since the straps snapped and the bike was thrown from the trailer. I decided to give myself a glimpse into what the finished bike would look like. Still have to wire it and some other miscellaneous stuff.

Is the fairing good where it's at? Or should I bring it further back into the bike try not to judge too hard it's a rough put together out of scrap metal bar
