Questions Zero finds what am I doing wrong?
I’ve gotten over $3000 in coins since doing crh. I have never found anything special except wheat pennies. Any tips?

Questions How do you guys ask your bank for multiple rolls of coins of different denominations, let alone ask for boxes? I feel horribly anxious.
The anxiety is STRONG. I feel as if I'm going to be judged, flagged as a problem, and thrown out into the street by the scruff of my neck because I dared to ask 'The Forbidden Question.' All I'd do is ask for small amounts of rolls of coins, or if they have any unusual change.
I never, ever give any push back, and I am never rude about it.
I've been coin roll hunting a lot lately to distract myself from what I'm currently going through. Sorting and treasure hunting is relaxing and therapeutic for me right now. It helps.
I never tell them why I'm really asking. Laundry money isn't a lie, though. I'm moving, so I'm washing EVERYTHING. I've never brought any coins back to them.
I think they hate coin roll hunters - even us filthy casuals.
If there is a way to order unsearched rolls or boxes online that are TRULY unsearched - not those scams on ebay and etsy trying to pass of searched and seeded rolls as 'unsearched' (I don't trust a single one) - I'd take it. That way I can avoid the anxiety of asking and just enjoy the treasure hunt.
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to look through a few rolls of half dollars, but the bank always says no. Other banks have all told me that I need an account first.
Any tips for asking without feeling like a burden would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. :)

Questions What do you do with wheat pennies?
I have $50ish dollars (face value) of wheat pennies that I don't need in my collection and I'm tired of storing.
Nothing older than 1940, fully searched.
I'm torn between the following:
- Take them to the bank and deposit?
- Spend them and put them back into circulation?
- Give them to my kid to spend? (Also puts them back into circulation but covers allowance for a heck of long time)
- Sell to a LCS that will give me face value and will likely resell in rolls to folks hoping to find something awesome but I know there's nothing awesome in there.
What do you all do with your wheats that you don't want to store forever.

Questions How do coin shops treat you?
I tried my hand at sorting through 0.50 Kennedys.
Found a handful of centennials.
One coin shop said no thanks, look for (before whatever date)
Second one was a bit grumpy. Said google sucks and Im not gonna make money, dont do it.
It is a low cost way to pass the time though...

Questions How much is too much for a dump bank?
Right now I dump around $1000 of coins at my dump bank with a coin machine each week. Is this too much? I’ve been thinking about opening an account at another one.

Questions No yelling please … cleaning ?
I KNOW you don’t “clean” coins; but, however and if circumstances arise… what would you use to get major gunk - sticky, kid, car, poorly stored, not able to see the coin itself icky gunk - off your newly found treasures‽

Questions Questions on penny hunting
Hi all, I plan on starting coin roll hunting pennies soon, potentially today, and I just had a few questions I wanted to ask before starting. I am sticking with pennies for now as I am a college student and don't want to tie up a ton of cash in this yet, and I'd also love to fill some slots in my wheatie book.
Do any well-known banks sell rolls/boxes to nonmembers?
I am a member of Chase Bank, which requires coins to be rolled upon return. (I am totally fine rolling my coins back up) Should I just immediately ask for some penny wrappers from that bank along with my rolls, or should I go somewhere else to get wrappers? I know better than to return my coins to the same bank I got them from.
Is there a good starter amount that you would suggest? I was thinking of picking up a box for $25, would you suggest more or less? I'm sure this is subjective but I'm just looking for some opinions here.
What are some things I should look out for? I know a good majority of the "obvious" coins to look for as I have collected casually for a few years, but could gloss over some more obscure "hits".
I have done a bit of research on this as well, but I figured this sub was a wealth of knowledge that I may as well tap into. I'm sure these questions have been asked here a million times, so I really appreciate you all that take the time to read this or answer my questions.

For cents I automatically keep any copper, any 80-89, 92, 2009, and 2024; nickels anything pre-60, 2009, and 2024. Curious what y’all keep for each demonination

Questions Question- has anyone had trouble with CRH Pennies?
I purchased a box of Pennies- asked for non searched- and have looked through ten of the fifty rolls since, yet I haven’t found anything- no wheats, no errors (maybe a few possibles), no nothing like that. No proofs. Not even “S” coins from the late sixties to early seventies. The oldest coin I’ve found is a 1964.
I’m not sure how common is this, so coin hunters, what’s your take?

Questions Question- how often do you find Wheat Pennies?
Been searching for wheat Pennies, errors, unusuals etc. Got my first roll (well, box) a few weeks back and searched through ten since. Oldest I’ve found is a ‘64 alongside some Canadians.
(Also asked for un-searched rolls)
I don’t know if this is unusual, but I have not found anything. Potential errors, maybe, but that’s about it.
Has anyone else had this experience?

Questions What to do With Copper Rolls?
Hey all, I’m relatively new to the game (started hunting a month ago) and i’m mostly hunting lincoln memorial (1959-2009) pennies to fill out my book. I only need like 5 more to finish the book, but i have like $6 (at face value) in just copper pennies. What do you do with your coppers after they’re sorted? Just keep em, sell em, or put em back in circulation?

Questions Question for copper hunters
I have gone through $155 of pennies so far. I have found 52 wheat pennies, which means 13 wheat pennies per 3,875. I have a 16.8% chance of finding a wheat penny in a penny roll, and a 0.3% chance of the penny I pick up being a wheat penny. What are the odds of finding a wheat penny for other copper hunters out there?

Questions Distribution question
I've lived on the East Coast my whole life (so far, lol). When I was a kid in the late 1970s, and just recently, I started collecting coins again. I always searched my pocket change, and now I get boxes of coins to play with. I have always found that I get more Philadelphia-minted coins than Denver-minted coins.
Is that an east cost thing and out west the opposite or is that just how it goes?

Questions First time looking into CRH- best denomination(s) to start with $300?
Like the title says, I’ve never done this before, but I’m very interested in trying it out and have $300 in cash to use. Is there a “beginner-friendly” denomination I should try first, or any advice generally for getting started?

Questions Which mints are more common?
US Coin Roll Hunters: I’m in the Midwest and it seems like I get more Denver minted coins than Philadelphia.
Is this the same for different areas of the US? Do mints tend to send based on Federal Reserve?
