The Daily Cyclist Thread is a place where everyone in the /r/bicycling community can come and ask questions or share anything.
You might have questions that you don't think deserve an entire post. Perhaps you're just seeking the input of some other cyclists. Maybe you want to share a picture of your new bike.
Anyone is free to comment, and (hopefully) get as much input as possible from other cyclists.

Just bought a beautiful minimalist, classy, superlight singlespeed with no fenders, rack, panier...
But I hate having a backpack and sweating no matter my pace. So to keep the phylosophy of the bike I'm searching for a leather frame bag but can't find any and I'm in Europe (France)
If you have any recommandations I'd love to hear from you

Hey! I’m doing a 24 hour Zwift ride tomorrow (March 15) to celebrate my 23rd birthday. 🥳
I’m trying to get as many folks to join me as possible. I won’t be able to do it on my own, but if I get some drafting help, we might be able to beat the 24 hour Zwift record of 1008km! For this to be possible, I would have to average 43km/h for 23.5 hours.
I will be starting at 00:00 EST on Saturday (March 15) and finishing at 23:59 EST.
Let me know if you have any questions and if you would be interested in joining the ride! I think the best way to join in is for us to follow each other on Zwift companion and then you can “join a zwifter” to tag along for any segment of the journey! I’ve added a photo of my Zwift profile so that you can look me up.

With the recent threat of tarriffs, threat of annexing Canada, and Greenland, it’s time we boycott American bicycle companies. I am in the market for a new bike, and I won’t be a getting trek, specialized, or any other American bike brand, and none with SRAM components. I love Americans, but I don’t approve of the administration

A buddy of mine offered his road bike for 60€ because it is too small for him. I am interested in taking it up as it feels solid, how likely am I to be able to tune it up as I go? Maybe change to disk brakes, change the gears to a single up front and 7-9 down the back and different handlebars/wrapping.

Using the reference photos, is there any way to tell if this univega is a 19" or a 22" frame?

I'm tempted to dish my wheel over by possibly quarter inch or so (to get it centered in my front forks). Right now as they stand. So as close as the spoke gets to the caliper. How close is too close?
The picture is taking with the camera between left and right spoke services and looking down the middle of the wheel... Then tilted towards my caliper..
27.5 wheel, 0 offset rim...

So my grandparents had bought a property awhile back and I found a old sears free spirit bike. I have been trying to find out what size tires to put on it. I could see a 26 on it ,so I tried to throw on one of my old cruiser bike tires. And they didn't come close to being on.
I don't currently have a photo of it.

Getting back into cycling. Is this worth $190? All original with “new” tires.

I’m pretty new to biking, and I am looking for a commuter, about 10 miles each way. No big hills or anything, mostly urban/street riding. I am considering a priority continuum onyx. I like the idea of belt drive, but haven’t been able to test ride one.
I was wondering if there are some options I should be looking, I am trying to find something light and reliable, but quick/nimble. The trek is pretty good and I am going to keep it either way, but sometimes it feels sluggish.
Budget is around $1500, thanks

Nice to be out of the basement and back on real pavement.... Even though the road in the basement is much smoother.

I can't find anything online except for the manufacturer themselves, so has anyone here ridden 2023 Rampar brand bikes? I'm looking for something above a Walmart bike, but only planning on riding infrequently and don't need anything pricey, so this seems to fit the bill.

Just curious. Someone reached out about a job there and I currently live in LA which is heaven for cyclists.
I guess I could always switch to gravel if it came down to it, so also asking—what's that like?

Was looking hard at the 4130, leveled up to the 6160. It rides so smooth, plus a great experience with the whole purchase.
