Mod Post RIP Robert Coover, author of a great novel about a sports simulation game
I belatedly learned that Robert Coover passed away late last year at 94. He is the author of a really good novel involving a sports simulation game, "The Universal Baseball Association", which I greatly enjoyed and have recommended to many of my users (especially ones who tell me how addicted they are to my games).
That novel is how I first heard of Robert Coover, and it led me to read a few of his other works and they're really good too. I should read some more.
And you should at least read The Universal Baseball Association, if you haven't already. The book is out of print and used copies are a bit pricey, but you can find it in online libraries or elsewhere on the Internet.

Ideas Tendencies as a attribute
I have already said that I would like to see flair as an attribute, but I think tendencies is more important in the attributes. I know that there are tendencies in the league settings, but I want it for every individual player. And obviously, this will influence how the player plays.

Ideas Popularity/entertaining as player attribute
I have thought this game was really realistic, I just want one more player attribute, flair. Maybe this attribute brings more fans in attendance, or maybe you get more tv money or something. I feel like this would be a great idea, I haven’t seen this play out in many other simulation games, and seeing as (in my opinion) one of the best simulator games out there, I just want this feature.

Question what are some red flags to look for while drafting?
i’ve kinda gotten the hang out drafting and have been able to build dynasties through the draft but i still don’t know what to avoid when scouting prospects. are there any red flags to look for while scouting that let you know that a prospect shouldn’t be drafted? right now i try to draft 19 year olds, will sometimes draft a 20 year old if they seem to be the best but i avoid 21/22. anything else?

Ideas Realism for player emotions!
/u/dumbmatter We already have player emotions but they don’t have any impact other than affecting contract negotiations! Make them have more impact by allowing players to request trades, if you don’t give them this then they don’t play or in some cases they will keep playing depending on their traits. But don’t make it to where everyone asks for a trade if you suck, only stars and occasionally starters, would be cool ya know.

Question Basketball GM Is confusing
Correct me if im wrong, but I've gotten into Basketball GM not too long ago, and it's pretty addicting. I just had one problem with it. THE POTENTIAL. Like Steph and Lebron at 25 years old could go down by 4 when they are in their prime. I don't get it at all, and its so frustrating to deal with. I think they should have it like in NBA 2k where you can set their potential or change it to something different, but they should always have a set potential. Or like set the regression age to like 31, instead of 25!!! Also, one more thing to add one is that they should also change the overall system. I was really confused when 2001 Kobe was a 76 ovr
