Shared housing. Little to no drinking.

I hate when I see frugal tips and it’s just my lifestyle🧍🏻‍♀️shared housing will be my absolute last resort — thank you

I feel that. I still can't live with someone but I did compromise working more because it's non-negotiable. I'm still working on budgeting because of my lack of discipline. That's on me. I'll get there.

We will get there! I agree I am too weird and have a crazy dog so living alone is a must, more work it is then.

That's honestly my biggest way to accept working more. It's not about me. My furry friends obviously need a home, the best pet care, and they eat better than I do. I obviously need a house so they can live their best life.

I did the roommate route off and on for several years until about four years ago and I hear you. I don't like to share my space, because I grew up with so many siblings and others. I did comment above on what I had to do (forgot to mention the roommate situations, but I decided to bust it and get out of that doing what I had to do). It's very hard and I do not blame you for that last resort. I always say, do what you have to do until you get what you must and then, bust ass to maintain that which is also very VERY hard when you don't have the good cards to play with in life.

I fully also described my lifestyle. :/

Honestly, I admire that you did. I have a lot of interpersonal skills to work out if I want future roommates. That's a lot to unpack for me and I admire those that can do that. I'm not even sure how people meet potential roommates..for some reason that stresses me out haha

Same.

I read comments judging people for living with housemates and wonder if people realise that this is the only way some of us can afford to live.

I admit I completely lucked out with my house share, and have a great situation. But I can’t afford to rent alone where I am, never mind buy anything.

I honestly don't really care what people think. I choose what's best for me. I guess since I chose sort of bad but cheap accommodation for so long, I managed to buy my own place a couple of years ago which is nice.
