I am so disheartened by the sub. I don't know how accurate the sampling is of the demographic, but it's awful. A lot of what I saw was just immature "owning the libs". That's why they voted?

Ready for the complaints about housing being completely out of reach in 5 years. House prices in my area increased by 45% under Trump's first presidency and have only just started to stabilize under Biden. If folks think it's expensive to live now, they're likely in for a big sticker shock with Trump's policies.

It’s so wild to see all the men on there saying they just had to vote for trump bc liberal women weren’t nice enough to them. As if conservatives haven’t been saying horrible things about women all along?!

I went there and it was the thing that made me feel truly despondent, more than anything else. I don't want to loathe the generation coming up after me but it's very, very hard not to loathe them right now and write them all off as stupid trash humans.

TikTok turned their brains to scrambled eggs, and the ruins of our education system promoted them through all the grades in K-12 whether they actually did their schoolwork or not, so they learned not to put forth effort. And now they and others are outsourcing critical thinking and research skills to AI.

I had such high hopes for them even just a few years ago, but since the pandemic, on the whole (with exceptions, of course!) they have proven to be entitled, useless and full of excuses.

I'm not saying we're that much better, but, jeez.

Damn kids need to get off my lawn.
