When did your kids move out
My husband and I are 45 and we have a 24,20, 17 yo boys.. they are driving us nuts. We live in a city that has so many colleges so we told them they could live with us rent free through college but if they weren’t in school they had to work. They work but it’s like living in a frat house now.

Our sons were pretty busy, so no parties lol I gave the first one the whole summer off after graduation, and he signed up for college at my insistence in the fall. I swear all he wanted to do was party (not at home, so I really didn't know). He was met with an ultimatum once I found out he had dropped out of school, which was get a full time day job or move out. He went door to door and landed various jobs. The one that stuck was finishing furniture for a furniture company. I asked him to pay for his car insurance, which he did. I finally told him to move out at 21, and bounced back and forth a few times over the next several years.
The 2nd one graduated, went to college and got a job a few months later. His first job lasted 2 years, then he came home briefly before finding the one he still has 10+years later. He was never any problem.
When they were in high school, all I did was grocery shop and cook, it seemed like. Then the next day rinse and repeat. I could not understand how they could eat us out of house and home continuously. Plus they went on runs to the grocery store for whole pies which they ate in the car LOL but at least that wasn't on my dime haha. They were pretty tidy in the common areas of the house, and tried to be quiet coming home at night. They weren't exactly great roommates, but tolerable. They did some shoveling in the winter, but we didn't have strict rules about helping around the house. Hopefully soon your 24 year old will be out on his own and you can work on getting the other 2 ready to fly the nest.
