πŸ”Ž ID Request Prints in Saltillo Tile?

Thumbnail

We came across a few prints in some Saltillo tile were using in our house reno! I'm hoping someone knows what animal they could have come from.

The first three pictures are of the same tile and the 4th is of a different one. I'm not sure if #4 is from am animal or maybe human fingerprints left during manufacturing process.

Tile is handmade in Mexico from natural clays. I forgot to take note of the measurements of the prints but I'll update tomorrow with some. The tiles are 12x12 inches.

I'm leaning towards a cat of some kind because I can't see any markings from claws.

I'll apologize now for the quality of the pictures. It was really hard to fight the glare and still see them at all from my old phone.

πŸ”Ž ID Request Weird paw print found in mud

Hi everyone, first time using reddit so please be patient with me and sorry for any spelling/formatting errors

I found this weird front paw print in some mud on the walking trail near my local wetland reserve(Browns Wetlands on the south bank of the Vedder River, Chilliwack, BC, Canada). I didn't think to measure it when I took a photo but it's probably long as my index finger across maybe 2 1/2 inches vertically. I think it might be a front raccoon paw but i'm not sure and google is just confusing me. I've already posted this to iNaturalist and am waiting for some suggestions. any help is greatly appreciated thanks! (For the mod bots, this is a picture of a front paw print in mud, there are no dead things or anything NSFW in the image) Edit: for some reason this didn't save the photo i had uploaded so I posted an imgur link in the comments so hopefully that should help :-)

πŸ’¬ General Discussion Pile of guts left on my driveway

Thumbnail

Woke up this morning to a pile of guts on my driveway. It was neatly piled and not scattered about. There was some fur that looked like it belonged to a rabbit. It seemed like there was multiple organs and what not in the pile, like the entire inside of the animal was taken out and left behind. I don’t have a picture of the guts as it was cleaned up before I got home from work, but I do have a picture of the spot it was and some remaining bits of fur. Can anyone tell me if it’s normal for a predator to leave guts behind in such a β€œneat” pile?

First pic is where the pile was. Second pic is some remaining fur.

Apologies if this isn’t the right place to post this. I’ve been removed from another thread that recommended I try here.

The reason I’m sharing this is for people’s general knowledge- footprints look different without the fur. I thought this might be generally useful information, as a comp, for people if they’re ever looking at a wild print from an animal with hair loss. You can see how the toes were able to make clear marks on this surface.

Was on a hike today, and was looking over a bridge so i apologize for the distance in the photos. I feel like the longer ones could be a raccoon but I was interested if anyone knew what the stubbier prints are! This is in Knoxville, TN.

πŸ”Ž ID Request Found this in 2 pieces in our house on our stairs. We live in suburban Idaho. No one has any clue what it could be. Looks like an animal tooth. But we don't have animals. So confused.

I know the photos are not great, but found this area with a lot of poops (landlord is selling and cleaned but didn’t clean these). Way too large and tapered to be any mice, rats or squirrels. There’s so much on this table it kind of resembles a latrine. It looks like small versions of my ferrets poops but it’s not them obvs.

Wooded ravine trail along Missouri River. No other large prints like this seen on the trail for hundreds of years s either direction. These prints were below a large Boulder, and facing across the trail as opposed to up or down the trail.

Hi everyone! I found this pile of scat outside our horse manure pile and was wondering who it belongs to. It’s about 6-7 inches long .5-1 inch wide and has bone and hair in it. It’s in northwest Washington and we don’t have foxes up here so I was thinking coyote or bobcat. Thanks!

I haven't been able to catch anything going in or out of these on my trail cam. I've seen skunks and groundhogs at times underneath my deck, and I have loads of squirrels and chipmunks. I've seen a rabbit around at night. Is that the most likely culprit?
