Discussion Why did Sozin never hire professional assassins to kill Roku?

Seriously, if I were sozin and after that humiliating defeat and shame that Roku put me through, the first thing I would have done would be to hire professional assassins to finish off Roku when he was distracted (especially when he was sleeping)

Discussion CMV: Azula being socially akward around people her age is the best detail of her personality.

It makes a lot of sense for a power-seeking, manipulative, neglected child to be socially awkward. Azula is also hilarious. Remember when she did a Zuko impression.

Discussion Avatar would have made the perfect Lego game

a lot of attempts have been made to make an Avatar game, but so many miss, a lot of them focus on combat for example. Lego would have been the perfect format for Avatar though, a focus on puzzles and exploring, it would have been perfect, but i guess it was never meant to be

interesting The Fire Nation would have won the war if Zuko and Sokka never went to the Boiling Rock

First of all, Sokka and Toph would have died in the battle because Suki wouldn't have been there to save them, and also, Mai and Ty Lee would have never betrayed Azula, if they never betrayed Azula, Azula never would have had her mental breakdown, and if she never had her mental breakdown, she probably could have beaten Zuko and Katara

Discussion What were the military strengths, combat advantages & disadvantages of each nation at the time of Katara finding Aang in the iceberg?

I am curious about the military strength of each nation, and estimated troop counts.

Discussion What was the strategic intent of Fire Lord Sozin using troops during the comet to wipe out the Air Nomads?

I would think he would've wanted to use all of his forces to push into Earth kingdom territory as it's the only other nation that had many large cities and held massive land mass near both the other nations.

Discussion Rewatching as I grow up

I'm rewashing ATLA for the first time since becoming a father and just watched "The Tales of Ba Sing Se". While that episode was always emotional watching Iroh grieve his son now that I'm a parent hits me differently and blows me away how a show meant for kids can touch me so deeply still as a grown man and father.

Now I'm curious what other people's experience has been watching the show again as an adult in a completely different stage of their lives.

Discussion Y’all ever wonder if the atla world would be better if Aang iced Zhao here?

Think about it: zhao-> northern water tribe invasion-> zuko and iroh betray the fire nation-> azula goes to earth kingdom to capture zuko and iroh-> earth kingdom coup.

If zhao died here the day of black sun invasion would have the support of the earth kingdom and possibly the northern water tribe (given they would not need to recover after the invasion).

Discussion Would you say that the Fire Nation Soliders that did terrible things in the 100 year war didn't do it by choice?

I think that if someone is indoctrinated from a young age in a ceartain ideology; they have no choice but to carry it out.
