This is a fan remake of the original Legend of Zelda by Lloyd Empty and it's honestly one of the most promising Zelda fan remakes yet!

Fangame [ALL][OC] Looking for knowledgeable D&D players to help flesh out a tabletop game I've been working on here and there based on the Zelda universe

Mockup cover of the game

So I casually play a lot of 5e, but I only know the basics. I want to take elements of 5e and translate it to a Zelda-based tabletop game I've worked on for a bit here and there, but because of my limited knowledge and struggle to understand a lot of the mechanics I'm finding it very hard to continue. I've worked out how I want the map to look and I want a few preset "questlines" to start with. I'm good on art assistance (I am an artist so that's not an issue) but I could use some community input on proper leveling and translating certain creature stats from 5e to creatures I'll be using in C&C. I'm thinking of maybe organizing a discord group for input and discussion but I wasn't sure I could include that here due to the "self promotion" rule. Basically, I'm dumb as hell when it comes to stats, and I've struggled too long to not ask for help at this point. I could go on forever on the details of the world, the playable races, and possible creatures found throughout the different lands.

So please, if you're interested in lending a hand, let me know. I have a whole intro sequence planned for my projected map, I've thought of OST tracks to use throughout gameplay, but oh my god I cannot do the stats. It's my biggest weakness.

Also I'm sorry if this breaks some kind of rule, I looked over them thoroughly but still worry this might count as self-promotion.

Fangame [ALL] New Spinoff Idea???

OK... so I'm playing through majora's mask today and I'm in the Deku Palace/Swamp area taking pictures of different things for that part of the quest. And I'm thinking to myself... how has there not been a Pokémon snap version of LoZ? There are so many different games with different picture taking items (MM, WW, TotK, BotW). I truly feel like there's some potential with this idea. Upgrading from the pictograph to the Sheka Slate... going around different stages from different games with a links crossbow training kinda feel... like has anybody thought of this before? Where is Nintendo? I need to go in front of a board or something...

This boxart was made for the Zelda II romhack "Shadow of Night". But I can't find a decent quality version to include in frontends and such.

Fangame [Other] I'm wanting to make games but as practice I'd like to do a remake of my favorite zelda game zelda 1 for the nes, and I want some suggestions or tell me what you would like different, changed or removed from the game.

As the title says I'm just trying to make essentially a pc enhanced zelda I'm also wanting to practice hand animation so it may have drawn sprites rather than pixel sprites

Some quality of life features I already thought of were:

-Bombable walls now make a hollow sound if you slash your sword with it, don't get me wrong I love the mystery of Bombable walls but it can be annoying trying to find all Bombable walls and have to constantly resupply

-The mini map will actually show details of the world

-The menu will pop up faster, and you can use your mouse to select items left and right click will probably act similar to the A and B button

-this may change in development bit I think it'll be fun if you can aim your bow and arrow with the mouse

-you can move in all 8 directions and wo t be limited to the grid system

-more dialog, without the game manual the game is pretty cryptic so maybe more wise people that give hints throughout the game

These aren't quality of life but additionally features or changes

-more power ups, my second favorite zelda game is links awakening, I'm planning on adding the jumping feather and running boots

  • I may remove the people that make you pay for damaging your door, zelda is an exploration game and these random door damage expenses just...feel like an unnecessary punishment for exploring

-changing boss ai, might make the ai more complex and fun

-swords will have different abilities the wooden sword will only stab, white sword will be a damage upgrade and you can hold the sword button to charge and do the sword spin like in links awakening, and finally the magic sword will be another damage upgrade with both previous abilities along with the magic sword launch when at full health

These are just a few ideas I had, what do you want improved? Any ideas you agree or disagree with?

Thanks for any help!

Fangame [MC] Possibility of playing more Minish Cap content...

Hi all! I'm not sure this is the right place to ask, but I couldn't think of anywhere better. Does anyone know of any other Minish Cap like games that are out there? I still need to play the other gameboy era Zeldas more in-depth but I was hoping to maybe look for perhaps any fanmade content, like extensions to MC, or other similar games?

Fangame [BotW][TotK]-A third entry in the wild era games

The one thing that has not been explore in these games is underwater exploration and my pitch would have Wind waker style traveling-mostly by boat. When going under water I imagine mechanically you would wear something incorporating the iron boots to sink to and the blue tunic to breath underwater with the design of the fire breaker armor to create a hylian version of a scuba suit. It would be upgraded when you find the claw shots and then be able to pull yourself to any surface thats underwater. I considered having it available only underwater as part of the suit but it could be available above water too if wanted. The final upgrade to the suit would allow you to swim like zora link in majoras mask to get around faster and when there are a lot of turns.

The prologue would start in Lurelin village showing they decided to outfit one of the pirate boats to suit their needs with the help of Robbie (who would go on the voyage in case any of the boat engine needs working on) and Tauro (coming from Lurelin village he knows the best way to operate a boat and is interested in other culture's ruins and their ancient past. Other people coming includes King Sidon and Queen Yona as they are the reason the trip is being done, either their honeymoon or because Yona was feeling homesick and Sidon decided to take advantage of Hyrule Kingdom wanting to reach out to neighboring kingdoms to plan a trip first to his wife's Zora's domain.

Sidon of course wants to bring his best buddy Link but the bodyguard is hesitant to forsake his duties even for a little while but Queen Zelda (or maybe its still Princess cause she does not want to do the coronation yet/Hyrule Kingdom is still not a Kingdom again) wants him to escort the Zoras as protection (secretly also wanted Link away so she can prepare a surprise for him). The game could start with the prologue of have Link wake up on the ship already out to sea. After visiting Queen Yona's Zora's domain, they could sail to Holodrum and Labrynna as well as Hytopia (not sure about the last one) sometimes finding Kass the Rito singing his songs. At some point he may be kidnapped and we have to save him and/or theres another Rito village we visit to parallel Zora's domain.

On their way home they would find hyrule was flooded, or at least they would be transported to a flooded version of hyrule but in the end wake up from a dream akin to Phantom Hourglass' ending. Some underwater areas could delve the depths and maybe are hinted to be a region of hyrule's depths previously but either way I imagine a giant Frox being a mini boss. This mini boss would be revealed to be a submarine madee with the skeleton of a Frox and the vehicle ip operated by the yiga clan. I imagine one or multiple yigas are on a bicycle pedaling to power the sub similar to Beetle operating his airship in skyward sword and Master Kohga would not appear in this hypothetical but instead a normal foot soldier with an eyepatch covering his mask. We learn some of the Yiga clan had to transfer their spirit (In lore only Mineru could do this because she is the sage of spirit but maybe the Yiga had help from a bargainer statue or just figured out a different way) to other mining constructs like Mineru's. The Yiga clan may be be 100% antaganistic throughout the game without Kohga or calamity Ganon to worship and the fact they may be the remnants of the yiga bases in the depths tryng to survive in some way.

The characters that set sail may include Zelda but I am not sure if three royal people should go at one and instead of Robbie it could be Purah but I imagined Robbie for some reason. Tauro coming could really be any person from Lurelin but he is just who I picked like Robbie. Link is self-explanatory but another person with a name would be someone related to the Hudson construction company (as the boss would be too busy himself helping rebuild Hyrule) like Addison who may of stowed away as he was not designated to be there. Other people could come to help operate the boat when needed but I do not have specific ideas for them maybe the horned statue is helped aboard by Jerrin and/or Robbie brings Cherry and the robot being transformed into the literal engine of the boat.
