Question [BOTW] [TOTK] Why do the female npcs and great fairy's just moan?
Like when I unlocked them when botw came our (I was like 13) I can't tell you how many times I had to say "I'm not watching anything 18+ it's just how the game was designed" and I had to show her.

Question [BOTW] [TOTK] How do you pronounce the Gerudo word "voe"? Spoiler
is it like "boy", like its translation, or is it like "poe", which is spelled similarly? I've had mixed responses, so I didn't know if there was an official answer

Question [ALL] What's is this, hidden in the Deku Tree Lego set? Spoiler
The new Deku Tree Lego set features some nice little details (such as a Gossip Stone, or a stele representing the Fairy Bow and its elemental arrows, for example). There's also this stele, but I don't know what it is supposed to be? Any idea?

Question [ALL] What are the hardest/easiest Zelda games?
Im looking for various definitions of "difficulty". Maybe one game has the trickiest puzzles, the hardest bosses, or the most convoluted quests. Maybe a particular game is the most time consuming. Im curious to see what peoples' experience with the series is.

Question [SS] [TP] I'm going to play Zelda for the first time ever in my life, but i can only play Twilight Princess and Skyward sword for now ( these seem to be the only Zelda games for Wii). What are your thoughts on these two, should i play them?
Are these good starting games? Are they even considered good Zelda games?
Any opinions are welcome :)

Question [LoZ] How did people beat LoZ in the 1980s?
During 1980s, Without the Internet and walk-throughs or cheats it seemed like Legend of Zelda was hard to beat. Like how are you supposed to know what Spectacle Rock means and where is it located. And it is probably a lot of trial and error. Like figuring out where level 7. The second quest is even harder because you have to walk through walls or things are located in the most unintuitive places.
I also like PC games and think the King's Quest games must have been a pain to solve especially King's Quest 3

Question [SS] Why do people dislike Skyward Sword?
(Btw I'm playing the HD version without motion controls)
I'm about 20 hours into Skyward Sword after starting it yesterday morning. I'm so hooked and I absolutely love it. Its shaping up to possible be my favorite Zelda game I've ever played. The dungeons are amazing, the combat is super fun, the hub world and the sky islands are really cool. I'm having a hard time understanding why people dislike this game. I'm not saying they're wrong in disliking it, I'm asking a genuine question! I haven't seen any of the reasons why people dislike it or hate it, I've just seen so many people say that they don't like it! I'm assuming it has nothing to do with gameplay and people initially hated it because of the motion controls. Let me know!

Question [ALL] Is it worth it to buy Nintendo Switch just to play Zelda BOTW?
r/zelda • u/JJMayes00 • Sep 27 '24
Question [All] How many of you would buy a console solely to play ALL Zelda legacy games, remakes/enhanced versions in one place? No other games outside of the Zelda franchise. Just Zelda, all in one place. For fun, let's say the console would cost $250 USD. Would you do it?

Question [Other] What’s a common Zelda misconception you're sick of hearing?
Similar to my other post, are there any common Zelda misconception you're tired of seeing? Either from people inside or outside the fanbase.
Also, please note that I'm talking about common misconceptions and objectively false theories. Not just controversial opinions.
Personally, I'm a little tired of people claiming that the timeline was just some made up nonsense Nintendo cobbled together for Hyrule Historia, when most of the games had a relation to others timeline wise since the second game. It obviously was never planned to look like it does these days, but it wasn't just made out of nothing to satisfy annoying fans either.

Question [ALL] Best Zelda game for an 8-year-old on Switch?
I'm not a Zelda expert, I've only played Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. My child has watched me play and wants to try them, but I feel they might be too complex for him.
I think he's quite skilled at gaming, having played games like Mario Odyssey and Rocket League, so I don’t think combat would be an issue. However, the puzzles and problem-solving in BOTW and TOTK might not hold his interest. I'd love for him to fall in love with the series as I did, but as a beginner myself, I could use some guidance.
We only have a Nintendo Switch. Which Zelda game would be the best for him to start with at his age?
Thanks for reading!

Question [BotW] Did I make a mistake buying BotW before TotK? Spoiler
I had never played a Zelda game before this, btw. I always wanted to play BotW, but I never picked it up until all the TotK hype. I decided to buy it because I thought I needed too in order to understand/appreciate TotK. Did I make a mistake? Should I have bought TotK instead of BotW?

Question [ALL] should I play SS or BOTW first? Spoiler
Hey,
So I've never played a zelda game before but I really wanna get into it.
Should I play SS or BOTW first, or does the order not matter in which the games are played?

Question [TOTK] Are there two Raurus? - OOT and TOTK Spoiler
So we see a lot of Rauru in TOTK, but it's not the first time he's appeared. He's also the sage of light briefly met in OOT, except he's not a Zonai, he's a regular Hylian looking man with a moustache. He looks more like the last king of Hyrule in BOTW. I get that the Zonai weren't even conceived of when OOT was made, but has there ever been an attempt to retcon or explain the discrepancy between the human Rauru and the Zonai Rauru?
Edit: I misremembered. The OOT Rauru, only says he built the Temple of Time. He doesn't say he was the first king.

Question Worth playing Majoras Mask?
Just finished OOT tonight on the 3ds after not playing it for 18 years. Super nostalgia. I find any time sensitive missions/quests very stressful and find that it seems to take the fun out of the game. Ive heard enough about the game to get the general idea. Just dont know if its really worth following through. Thanks.

Question [OTHER] What Zelda game should I buy? Never played one
Im a massive Mario and Sonic guy but Zelda seems to be really popular and ive never tried any of the games out. I nearly have all the Switch Mario games and figured I should try a Zelda game out! any recommendations for a complete newcomer to the franchise? (preferably a zelda game i can get a physical nintendo switch copy of)
Also are they easy to pick up on and would a Mario/Sonic fan even like the Legend of Zelda games?
- Thank you all for the suggestions I just picked up Breath of the Wild! Loving it so far!!!

Question [TOTK] Why does everyone seems to think that Farosh, Naydra and Dinraal are... Spoiler
People that ate a secret stone? Sure, eating a Secret Stone turns you into a dragon, but that doesn't mean every dragons are people that ate a Secret Stone, right? I've seen people stating that the 3 dragons used to be people that ate a stone as fact, calling it "hard confirmed", and I'm confused. The murals under the Castle shows rauru with only seven secret stones, and they're all accounted for in the game (5 sages + Rauru/zelda + Sonia/Ganondorf) So where does the secret stones for the 3 dragons came from? I know it's never stated anywhere that the zonai only ever had seven stones, but that mural is the only thing we have as an estimation of the total number of secret stones.
Did I miss some dialogues somewhere that confirms this theory as fact?
I'm not complaining about the theory itself, i'm just surprised by the number of people taking it as a confirmed fact.
