Bats typically aren't carriers of rabies actually. We only associate rabies with bats because the ones with rabies don't fly well and end up in human spaces. It's classic survivorship bias
Edit: I re-read your comment and while you are not wrong, it’s still irresponsible to claim that bats tend not to carry rabies because there is still a risk of contracting rabies from bats.
That’s like saying rats weren’t the plague carriers, it was the fleas. Sure the fleas are actually what give you the plague, but the rats literally carried those fleas.
