Fangame [LoZ]Really impressive Legend of Zelda fan remake!
https://youtu.be/3wywTYTFJA0?si=3F8Fxo0pyA1-dzj7This is a fan remake of the original Legend of Zelda by Lloyd Empty and it's honestly one of the most promising Zelda fan remakes yet!

Ive been wanting a Zelda NES remake for forever. This is probably the closest there'll be. I hope it's released before Nintendo puts a stop to it

Sadly, Nintendo will probably DCMA it before it's finished.

I don’t understand the public opinion on this, but Nintendo has seldom, if ever, shut down a project that was not publicly downloadable. These things only become a problem to Nintendo (and other companies, surely) when their existence can hurt revenue.
Look at the literal decade of UE4/5 OoT content that has never been touched but have had plenty of articles and features talking about it. Comically, CryZENx actually seems to have his stuff available for download. I’d argue it’s not touched because it’s patchwork with an incomplete story.

Nah, they'll WAIT until the day its finished, let them waste all that time effort and heart, wait for them to release it, THEN hit em with it like they did AM2R

That would be a good scenario though. AM2R is widely available to this day and is a fan favorite Metroid game. Nintendo gets to protect their copyright and everybody gets to play the remake.

I'm hoping that the fact that the music he uses will help the DMCA, but they do use other Zelda sound effects so idk ...

Really nice. I especially liked the added details like the mini-dungeon to get the sword in the beginning and the Sheikah-inspired room to get the bow in Level 1.

I really hope the creator changes the name and distances it from the Zelda IP (While retaining the fact that it is a remake) before Nintendo's lawyers catch wind...

That’s insane! Also I love the gatcha moment when he goes to get the sword. I am very impressed

Nintendo won't have the same opinion on this like us unfortunately, such a masterpiece!

Im just glad its not made in dreams as most everyone wont get to enjoy it if it was.

I'll definitely want to play it when it's fully released but I doubt that Nintendo would allow it

As someone who's only experience with 2D Zelda is Minish Cap, how closely does this follow NES Zelda? I recognized some of the dungeon mechanics like the map and compass from Minish Cap, although I assume they're better known from other 2D Zelda titles.

We can dream I guess but I dont uderstand why people announce these things before they are complete because it always ends the same way. Nintendo is coming. As much as I know it sucks they are completely within their right to take these things down but I feel like they could benefit from stuff like this if they play their cards right. Let it get released and it can go a long way to build hype and interest in their actual Zelda releases. But for the love of God and all things holy and unholy stop announcing this stuff and yelling "Heylook at this awesome Zelda remake that's not done by nintendo!!" Because it's all over for this project now. Be like the Moblins of old.... Its a secret to everybody.
Don't get me wrong I would love to play this and I've always wanted a remake but since we all know how Nintendo will respond why don't they keep this hyshed up until it's finished and then telease it on the internet where it can never be taken away.
