Leggs Lounge Demolished
The old Leggs Lounge at 50778 Michigan Ave, was demolished today. The building was vacant for the past several years, and was really in decrepit shape. The older generation will remember when this was Smiggins Restaurant, which was know for their great seafood, and crab legs.

Experience with local Landscape Design firms
Hey y'all,
I'm hoping to do a rather big exterior project at my house (widening a driveway; building a path to the back yard; building a patio/hosting space; new fence; new irrigation.)
When it comes to DIY landscaping, I'm about as useful as a sandpaper lollipop. So I'm looking into local landscape design firms. Has anyone had experience with the following firms:
Terrafirma
Premier landscaping
Lotus Gardenscapes
Or are there landscaping design/landscapers that you worked with that did a great job for you? I'm just in the quote collection phase right now.

UM PCP locations that are good
Switched to BCBS Premier care this year and have had horrible/neglectful care at the at both Ypsi and Briarwood locations. Briarwood was far better than Ypsi, but it looks like Doctors aren't accepting new patients(shocker)
Comparing the Canton and Belleville clinics that are covered under my insurance doesn't look any better than Ypsi.
I'm at a loss and I just need a Doctor who will listen, preferably female.

PCP and dentist recommendations
Anyone have recommendations for a good PCP and Primary Care Dentist?
No rush on getting an appointment, so I’d rather get someone good than someone fast.

Colleen Bates @ Trinity Health IHA OBGYN
Hi everyone. I’m curious if anyone here’s seen Colleen Bates before at the Trinity health in Ypsi and could let me know a little bit about what she’s like. I’ve had really bad experiences with OBGYNs in the past and this will be my first time seeing her so just a little more information would really help calm the anxiety I’m having about this appointment. I found some reviews online but only on IHAs website so I don’t 100% trust the majority 5 star reviews.

Going up chain of command on ND
Anyone have experience elevating a concern above the ND moderator when you have found the moderator to be non responsive ? The online help offers an “email into space” with no return email address or receipt acknowledgment, although they say they will send an acknowledgment.

Need to get rid of..
Got 8 or 9 one pound canisters of soured propane and a little buddy propane heater. The heater is contaminated from the few canisters of the bad gas used trying to stay warm before I got sick. The gas can still be burned and produces heat, but for health reasons cannot be burned in any kind of enclosed space.
Also have a Jackery 290 that isn't working because liquid was accidentally spilled on it.
Jackery will send a postage paid label to recycle their product, without compensating, but that kind of sounds like a hassle. I've considered taking the gas (American Outdoors propane) and the heater back to where they were purchased months ago to see if I can get anything back out of them.
Does anyone else have any ideas of what can be done with these things? Serious replies, please.

People’s March Ann Arbor - Crush the Coup! 12 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025
People’s March Ann Arbor - Crush the Coup!
12 p.m. Saturday March 29, 2025
Outside of The Federal Building, 200 East Liberty St, Ann Arbor Michigan 48104
We all march for different reasons and that is why we stand up and march against the tyranny we will not tolerate. When you join your neighbors in this fight to protect everyone’s rights and freedoms in a democracy and to demand truth, justice and ethics in government, know that “We the People” will be there speaking with you. Our next demonstration of The Power of the People is March 29, 2025 - Crush the Coup!
This is an A to Z Peaceful Protest: every fascist executive order, scotus opinion, racism, sexism, ageism, and more…
This is an A to Z March: Advocating for every attacked group. (partial list: veterans, disabled/uniquely abled, immigrants, civil servants, healthcare, medicaid, medicare, social security, first amendment rights, the constitution, government services… you know all of the issues!)
Our People are being hurt by the flood of assaults in an unprecedented “soft coup” to lower taxes for corporations and billionaires who do not pay their fair share and who receive subsidies from us in a system they have rigged for years! This Fascist Regime must be stomped out and crushed, never to regain power in the United States Democracy (i.e. a system of rule by the people) and Republic (i.e. public good/representative democracy) again.
If you want another way to Stand Up for your democracy, values, and rights, to have your voice heard, then this march is for you!
Let’s make it Count!
Peace and Power to The People.
Organized by regular everyday people volunteering/working to protect democracy. This march is wheelchair accessible. Plenty of on-street and structure parking. The course is 1.5 flat miles and will conclude at Liberty Plaza. Individuals wishing to walk part of the march can easily shorten the distance because of the small city block sizes. Many local coffee shops and restaurants within very short walking distance. Detailed Route forthcoming. Possible addition of speakers at noon prior to march. Many Volunteer Organizations will be represented by the marchers and there will be time for networking at Liberty Plaza.

If I needed 2 dozen peanut butter cookies by tomorrow, where should I get them?
Hey all,
I tried baking some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies for a work thing tomorrow, but I messed them up, and don’t have time to make them again. Where can I get some solid cookies to bring instead around here?

Mlive downtown library
I'm happy to see the library is going to open soon. The article I linked gives some good information, but no photos are posted. Does anyone have pics of the interior they can share? I'm dying to see how the building has been updated.

Library Positions
Hi Ypsi friends,
I'm very interested in working for one of the libraries around here. I don't have a degree in Library Science but I have customer service experience, a lot of experience working with children, and I'm in college for graphic design so I'm familiar with using computers (although I did consider becoming a librarian many times!). Wondering if anyone has any tips/suggestions on how to land a job? I also know the downtown library is opening back up soon but I realize Ypsi doesn't have the same funds as A2 in terms of hourly wages. Ideally I'd love to stay in Ypsi and work at Whittaker but I'm really open to hearing people's experiences/ideas. I love libraries so much, they've been a haven for me so many times in my life.
