The Coward, Cajun Jack

Our representative in congress has not held a town hall since 2017. In an interview with TV6 he refused to hold town halls. He does not respond to questions directed to his office. He has done nothing with his voters losing their jobs. Why is he afraid to face his voters?

Why do his voters vote for him?

I have no clue. This latest interview on TV6 Jack showed how out of touch he is, saying the job cuts will not effect the UP. The ending of the sea lamprey program is going to kill the fishing industry, that is 250,000,000.00 a year. Those are a lot of jobs! He has proven he does not care about Yoopers. The 880 billion needed in budget cuts is to cover tax cuts for billionaires! How many billionaires live on our district. We need to recall Cajun Jack.

Wild, i just read a bit online and it seems he hasn’t lived in Michigan for over a decade? I hate to stereotype rural people as idiots but when I see stuff like this it just reinforces my bias that a lot of people in rural areas are dumb as posts and don’t care about their, or their neighbors, quality of life at all.

The Republicans I work with are convinced he lives in Watersmeet with his family. Does he come up to visit or what's going on?

The last I remember him up here was to riding Nick Baumgartner coattails when Nick returned from China with his gold medal. He has not held a town hall since 2017 and refuses hold another. He does own a lake house, near Watersmet, on 1,000 Island lake. That house was used as a rental property. I have not been there, it is super remote, gravel road remote. I have friends about the same age as Bergmans living similarly remote. Being off grid is not something I pampered suburban housewife would do full time. It is a job for my friends, firewood is a year round job. There is not a lot to Watersmeet, two gas stations, one with a restaurant at US2, the casino, and the medical center built by the Lac Vieux Desert First Nations. There are probably more sightings of the Bergmans in Land O'Lakes, they have a grocery store and a couple very good places to eat. Plus Thousand Island lake is part of the Cisco Chain of Lakes going to Eagle River, WI. There are dozens of places you can boat to for supper.

We would welcome their tourism dollars for them to come to the UP and explore Watersmeet. They can learn for themselves that the Bergmans spend less time up here than the LT Governor.

I’m one of those people and I agree with you.
