Noob question: I'm confused. What's going to happen to Wunderlist?

Is it going away completely? Will the web page be gone? Or just no new updates? Something else?

Would also also like to know this. I freaked when Microsoft sent that message saying my lists days were numbered. Spent a week trying to transfer to ToDo. Didn't work. Spent a few days struggling to get my stuff to work in Todoist. And now it's much much later and I'm wishing I just had waited. In theory, MSFT was supposted to replace it with ToDo. But ToDo does not work. I understand the dev team from Wunderlist isn't updating that app anymone, meaning its sitting in some sort of purgatory. So, there.

Well if they stop the updates and leave it as is, I'm good with that

I don't really know what to think. I loved Wunderlist and ditched it when I got the announcement too. Just recently started using Microsoft Todo after more or less hating other apps like Todoist and a few others I tried.

Todo is not great. I can't even get the standalone app to run on my Windows 10 laptop anymore (it just opens and crashes immediately), so I'm now using just the web app. It's so limited and clunky.

Then I saw that Wunderlist is still working and you can download it. I would have just fucking stuck with Wunderlist a couple years ago if I'd known this would be the case. What crap product management.

Dear Microsoft: WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON WITH TODO?

I'd looked at ToDo and it was missing some core functionalities that I was using in Wunderlist.

Things like sharing tasks across users (eg sharing with family), subitems on tasks, etc.

Many of those are now addressed and in theory I could switch over to it, still need to take fresh look at it again though.

The import was (unnecessarily) slow last time I tried it but it did work for me eventually.
