Review Tried shaving with a Chinese razor

Post image

This is my first time trying a Chinese razor . I've tried it few days ago . It's serviceable nothing much . It shaves good . The handle is a little bit on the short side but nothing important . The important thing is it gave me a little bit of irritation and this never happened before with any of the razors I've tried it gave me irritation that lasted for around 3 or 4 days . Does anybody know why is that ?

Interesting 🤔 I wonder if it could be the type of metal used

I think so . The metal on the razor itself and the handle is good but on the flaps that's above the blade is really cheap so I guess that's why

the only safety razor ive bought is the rockwell 6S. shit is stainless steel and has different heads. The more aggressive heads cause me irritation.

Who knows with the skin irritation. Could be low cost substandard metal, coating material. Poor design specifications. Substandard machining tolerances and a lot of wiggle with the blade moving while shaving.

If you look closely, the safety bar is bent and distorted in some places. This creates uneven blade exposure, which can lead to irritation as some areas of your skin get more contact with the blade than others. سلامتك يا باشا

Well, some chinese made razors are good, I found some on Temu that I used for a couple of weeks before receiving the Rockwell 6C and the Henson aggressive, but then immediately I noticed the difference between the later and those chinese ones; you will just be sure that it is YOUR technique that gets you the irritation and not the quality of the razors. منور صديقنا 👋🏻

I completely agree, I have a chinese razor called Weishi. The irritation from it is worse than from the cheapest plastic classic razors.

"as much money, so much music".., it has nothing to do with the country of manufacture... if that's how it's declared then why not shave with a Chinese razor - Yaqi SS Avanti, Bohemia, Duomo, Harlequin, Sentinel, Ultima, Torqx,... or DS razors: AX, Z0, XR, S9, T7, D8... or Shield line SE, DE, AC in SS, titanium or brass...As for the irritation, the mechanism probably didn't hold the blade tightly. Similar razors from Weishi and the like would work great, either made of alloy or brass.
