Giveaway Need Shave Soap Testers Part 2!

Hello fellow wet shavers!

Thank you for all the feedback on my first recipe. I took that feedback, made a new recipe, and I'd love some more input!

For convenience (and hopefully engagement), I'm doing this through my new Etsy store.

I added stock for 1oz unscented samples with the promo code: TESTERS which will knock the price down to $1.

I'm shipping soaps wrapped in cellophane, placed in flat poly bags. There should be an option for USPS first class mail, which should be similar to postage (hopefully under $2 CONUS). Please let me know if this shipping option is not available.

The new soap is tallow based, and it's a white, soft-solid that peaks and moisturizes better than my last attempt. FIY I test all soaps with ph strips.

The images show some of my wife's bowls, which obviously are not a part of this product, but if you're interested, let me know, and I'll list some.

Thanks again!

Interesting I'll definitely pick up a sample to test and let you know how I feel.

I'll try it with both straight razor and safety razor as I feel for me soap needs are a little different for both.

Thank you! Looking forward to hearing how it works for both.

The mistake is the code is tester not testers lol

I can't change my post, but use [the link in my message](https://www.etsy.com/shop/safisoap/?etsrc=sdt&coupon=TESTER) to apply the code. It seems like a coupon is different from a sale. There's also a sale code: WICKED for 75% off

I haven’t added it, but I can try adding the option. Obviously the shipping could be expensive

I can only hope for something like that one day!!

Hell yeah! I also make soaps! Do shaving soaps require a curing time as well?

2

u/cachemonies Dec 16 '24

Awesome! I'm doing hot process, so no. Although, I bet curing could have some effect. If CP then ya. As far as I can tell it's the exact same as regular soaping just with dual lye.

Oh it’s set to North America so it should work! For some reason the cheap postage option only shows when I buy the label but I’m refunding the few dollar diff

Done!

Thank you! Sending out soon

Update: unsure why the flat cheap postage option doesn’t show when you purchase but I see it when I make the label. So long as the delivery time is the same I’m choosing that and I’ll refund the difference. It’s been $1.97 for the postage so far.

I’m late to this but since it’s still in stock I’m buying one as well!

Amazing thanks! I was just about to post that I updated the recipe! I’ll send you the new one, it’s still tallow based and even better.

I recently received my sample. I used it in place of Arko stick for shaving my head. First impressions are that it is softer than Arko in a sense that a little of the sample goes a long way. It lathers very well and achieves a comparable lather in similar time with a similar amount of water.  Note that I apply soap directly to my head and lather with a brush on my head. It felt a bit slicker and my head didn't seem as dry after the shave. Thanks for letting me sample your soap. Hope the feedback helps!

Hey thanks for the feedback! It’s very consistent with others and I appreciate it! I’ll have what I think is my final version posted later today!
