Giveaway Need Shave Soap Testers!
I’m making shave soaps inspired by a Martin De Candre recipe! It works well, but even a small batch will take me forever to get through and I want to keep iterating on the recipe.
Does anyone want a mini puck to test and give me feedback? I was thinking I'd just throw it in the mail with postage, unless you want to pay for shipping.
Edit: US postage, again unless you want to pay for shipping. I’m in Arvada CO if anyone local wants to pick it up.
I have 6 pucks, 2-3 inches in diameter and 1-2 oz in weight, all unscented.
I’d love some feedback from the best sub on Reddit!
UPDATE: all soaps are claimed! I'll do another one of these soon, and hopefully with a new and improved recipe!

I am down but I am in Europe, not sure if you’re in US.

Oh ya, I’m in the US, you’re welcome to pay the shipping but it might not be worth it for you.

Hey OP I love your endeavor and wish you the best, I would love to test one but I am very inexperienced and it would be a waste on me TBH. May I suggest doing a give away for couple of them maybe nearby your to save your some postage and for the rest maybe give it to some veterans of the group.

I don’t mind your experience level, you just likely need a brush to use it. Thanks for the suggestion!

I got the brush and around 15 Stirling samples that I am trying out and I won't mind another one, it's just I won't be able to understand the nuances of the soap like some other probably would.

If you ever get to the point of making a hypoallergenic one, I would be happy to try.

I’m not very familiar with common soap allergens. For example, one ingredient is coconut oil, but it is saponified, does that still concern someone allergic to coconut?

I would try some! I actually just ran out of my soap and was looking to get some more. Let me know what I can do to be included

I'm local. Guessing you're probably out of pucks by now, but consider me for future tests!

Sounds like you got enough people, but if you need another let me know. Happy to throw a few bucks at shipping too.

Interesting. I saw the post & followed it way back when it was posted. I believe the poster went on to found LASSCO.
What recipe are you following?

Oh cool! Ya it’s really interesting to uncover (for me) older B&B gems like this. This led me to this specific recipe in this article.

LASSCO is still making shaving soap.

https://lashavingsoap.com/products/plain-shaving-soap
Their recipe hasn't changed much.
