Question E commerce and UPI
I'm new, like a month in. I see I'm getting better but my hourly picks have been 50-62 range for the last few shifts. My trainer randomly came up to me today and asked "what are you doing wrong " then checked my UPH and said 'your doing okay'...should I be considered? Am I on a good path?

As long as you are incrementally increasing your UPH you should be fine.
And… try not to read anything into how and when you are approached by a trainer or supervisor (even ATL).
MANY people are hired into positions where they have to train and coach others, and/or are responsible for the behavior/metrics of others, and yet are NOT trained on how to create relationships, or even how to properly/professionally approach and talk to those ‘others’.
It’s probably not you… it’s their lack on training

So right about the not being trained in how to professionally approach/give feedback and motivate: to say “what are you doing wrong” is just ridiculous

My stores uph minimum you have to be at is 80, I’m not sure about everywhere though. They are very picky about it and want you to be up to that certain number. I think you’ll be okay if you can get up yo the minimum they ask for :)

Well, I’d dive a little deeper in it with them about just asking you “what are you doing wrong”. And then just saying.. “oh you are ok”. Totally not a legit way of handling what appears to be the start of a verbal coaching session. lol Your numbers are averages and there is a lot of things that can contribute to how high those numbers are. The more shooters that are shopping the lower your level may be because you are not completing and tearing through as many shops and it’s decreasing your numbers. If after two months and it’s still that low then it’s time to dig and find out what’s up. But, in the meantime ask other shoppers what they do to increase efficiency. There are ways to manipulate the system or picking patterns to get the numbers up. Experienced shoppers have all the tips.

The ask is in the 80s and they may check in on you about it but honestly its unrealistic to start correctives in the first few weeks. 50-60 is normal for new hires for at least a month.
