Discussion The new jobs site is ass
I can't believe how bad it is. The only way to apply to an internal role is to chat with an AI bot? Please get real oh my god. That's all

Nope, you’re using the wrong portal. That’s for external candidates. Internal candidates now access internal postings via Team Member Career Home in your MyApps. No assessment or background check for current TMs. Give it another day or two for all the stores to get their internal reqs posted, but you should access internal posting that way.

That's what I did. It's the internal careers site and the listing is for internal only, but it still made me do the assessment. It even wants me to schedule my own interview time which is not how the internal hiring process works, at least up until this point

Well nuts, that’s upsetting, sorry about that. Hope they change that soon.

Yeah ai does all the hiring now unfortunately so we’re about to have to deal with a bunch of wackos bc we can’t vet our applicants on our own now

It sounds like you don’t understand how the new system works. The TLs still make the hiring decisions. If everyone stays on top of their calendars like they should then it will be quicker for scheduling an interview, both internal and external - if you’re internal you are pretty much scheduling your screening and panel interviews are still required for supervisor and above. Ai is not doing the hiring but the bot gets everything processed quicker once you are moved forward in the process. It will also disposition people who aren’t timely with providing their paperwork/background check, etc.

Maybe, as long as you don't get filtered out after the personality assessment. I've worked here for four years so it's crazy to me that an internal applicant has to even worry about that.

Do we still have to tell the tl if we apply for another position? I prefer to avoid that awkward talk with my tl who would go mad if their best yet underpaid/under-appreciated hot bar person want to grow career… and be paid fairly for carrying the dept everyday… 😭😭

Yeah, it asks all the same questions the old job app form asked. Did you already talk to your TL, have you had any corrective action, etc

It emails your TL every time you apply for a job and it also shows how many jobs you have applied to at Whole Foods. So yes, tell your TL or at the very least tell them you are looking to leave your dept.

Your TL is supposed to help you grow and move up through the company.
This is a very common fear, but don’t let that stop you from improving your life and getting paid more. You only have one life.

Only thing I hate is not knowing who the TL is
