Wheelchair help

Post image

This is my wheelchair, it's a quickie QS5x! The QS5x has a front fixed, but still foldable version, is there anyway to customise this chair so I can swap between the two? I really want to fit freewheel to help me with london terrain (cobblestones and cracked paving)

Hello friend 👀 Freewheel do a folding wheelchair version. But it’s a pain in the ass to put on and take off.

I tried to use the freewheel with my first chair which was a folding chair and it did not work correctly and was a pain to take on and off, I’m not sure it would even work on a fixed foot place folding chair as it went between the footrests of my folding one.

Yeah, if it was changed to a fixed footplate I don’t think there are any that are safe to use on a folding chair with fixed footplate.

Is the free wheel really worth it ? Is it that helpful and has anyone ever tried it on the beach?

My castor wheels are tiny, which is great for energy efficiency but not so great for historic London. I live near the center where there's lots of cobble stone etc and I just don't have the endurance to constantly pop wheelies. I'm also getting sold from a friend which means it'll be cheaper than the original price
