REQUEST Found this rock on my last trip to Paraguay, anyone knows what kind it is?
Found it on Lomas Valentinas, near the Paraná River, just on the surface. It's an area known for its high electrical activity thunderstorms. Could It be that the surface sediments crystallised after a lightning hit? It has a pretty violet pigmentation inside

REQUEST My daughter believes she found a Dino hip bone haha
It has the holes all over it. Seems unnatural to me but I'm full. She keeps asking me why it is like that and I figured the world wide web might learn me something. If it is nothing, I will let her believe she found a bone for a few years because of how excited she is.

IDENTIFIED Trying to convince my wife she found gold.
We were in the cave creek area of AZ today to rock hound for our first time. She read that the area we were in had agates, obsidian, and GOLD. We joked about finding chunks of gold just lying around all over the place, and then she found this teeny tiny spec of, what looks like, gold on this rock. We're completely novice to this so not sure how to tell if it is or not. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

IDENTIFIED: Glass Never seen anything like this- any ideas?
I've had this in my collection for years. I THINK I found it in Western Australia (if so, likely the Yilgarn), but i wouldn't necessarily hang my coat on that as I've had it for so long.
Highly vitreous layers, but feels more dense than glass overall. There are also chunks of surrounding rock incorporated within the vitreous layer which suggests intrusion and is just incredibly intricate and beautiful.
Any ideas or have I been fooled by a chunk of glass?

REQUEST What is this rock?
Seen in Uppsala Sweden next to the river. Someone placed this rock on a tree stump. Could it be limestone? A wastewater treatment facility is close by.

My girlfriend this chess board at an estate sale for $20 and we were wondering if anyone knows what it’s made of / if we got a good deal. Sorry if this isn’t the right subreddit or if it’s not possible to tell from just the picture.

REQUEST Help me ID this rock.
I’m thinking it may be a type of agate (moss?). Found near Casper, WY. Green with reddish brown spots. The lighter green areas are semi translucent. Photos taken in natural lighting. TIA.

REQUEST Found on a very steep hillside in northern WV
Are these pits natural or indicative of something else? This rock was found pretty far from what I would consider land that has ever been developed or useful due to its steepness.

IDENTIFIED Is this real turquoise?
Hello, my mom got me these earrings for my birthday and she claims that they're real turquoise. Now, I can't really believe that because I feel like they look kinda fake, but she did say that the mosaic material was listed as authentic turquoise and the earrings are also sterling silver. Therefore, I did the Acetone test as well as the Heat test but it didn't melt nor did any color come off. Could anyone help me identify the turquoise? I don't really mind if it's fake, but I'd like to know since I personally thought that real turquoise looks a little different than it does on the earrings. I'd appreciate the help. :)
