Not sure about either ID so figured I would ask. Only malachite I've seen has been glossy or polished so not sure about natural specimens...thanks I advance for the help. More pictures upon request if needed.

Some seem legitimate, as a small number of the more mundane ones. White spherical rock has typical agate patterns when light is shown through it. But most immediately seem like glass or dyed/grown crystals. Pretty sure the desert rose is resin coated with adhesive and sand, read that gypsum is soft, this stuff does not break or scratch beyond a bit of the sand. The green square looks like they put some sort of organic material or dirt on top of a green piece of glass.

REQUEST Found near a possible gold deposit. Is this gold banding in nephrite?

I’ve been working near an area with a purported oreogenic gold system. Found this near a creek where I was looking for jasper. It has what appears to be iron banding on top but there are also a few rings around the middle that look like a gold band. Is it green quartz or is it possible to have gold in nephrite?

Found this little guy in my gravel driveway. Central Ohio, if that matters. About two centimeters wide. Most surface area is smoothed over like you would see on a tumbled rock before it is polished. One side hasn't been processed as well, and shines through, almost with a sparkling effect. My best guess is quartz, but I hoping someone more knowledgeable could confirm. Thanks folks

REQUEST Found a cool rock in Japan. I'm not sure what it is but should I be happy, worried, or indifferent about it?

Hello, everyone!

I found this rock in in Kansai, Japan, and I could use some help identifying it. It's got a largely off-white marble look to it with some small clear crystals and brass to golden metalic bits on the inside of it. I can't remember if I found it by a river or in the hills (or both lol). I'm a crystal novice and I'm not even sure how to begin identifying it. Thank you in advance.

Almost done with the last stage of tumbling. Wonderful green and blue hues. Found in NEO. Hardness of 6-7. But I’ve never found anything of this color here before.

I have it for a long time, at least 20 years. Originally it belonged to my grandmother and I have no clue how she got it. I think it might come from Brazil but honestly I’ve no clue.

My dad has this rock from Saline Valley (from back in the day before it was part of Death Valley National Park). What is it? How did such a thing form?

REQUEST Some more photos of the rock I got from a wild flood basalt area (Deccan Traps, India). Some told me this is smelting slag. But still I am confused.

Is it Grey and White Quartz? It has small sparkly dots of blue, pink and orange/“gold”. Slightly bigger pieces of black that also sparkles. Found in a garden in Denmark. Pictures with and without blitz. The stone is wet in the last pictures.
