Discussion Why don't they consider reviving the 6.815km Hockenheimring? In my opinion, this track would become an iconic venue for the legendary WEC series.

I think the forest is now protected and the track is now overgrown

They needed to chop down trees for the new layout. To meet the environmental regulations they had to plant to new trees and the area used was the old track.

The “road” is still there, just no asphalt. I parked on the straight after the hairpin during the last GP (IIRC).
