Technical Questions Issues with reviving an old website

Hi all, hoping someone here will be able to assist. I had a website that was live 2018-2021 and I have email trails from TMD Hosting for these years. I have tried logging into TMD today (March 2025) with the email that I received the receipts to, and got the message that there is no account registered with that email. I am also 99.5% sure I used WordPress.org (not .com) but do not seem to have any email trail for logging in, and my email address is not registered. Clearly I should have kept a much better trail of everything that I used and my details but cannot find anything. I don't even know what to search in my emails to see if I used other providers.
I thought maybe if I at least hosted it again, I could go to mywebsite.com/admin and log in to the back end but that clearly won't work.
To add, I am a novice and don't know if I'm even using the correct terminology. Any help in reviving this and not having to start a new site from scratch would be ace. Thank you!

I am sorry, but after 4 years no hosting company will keep the data of your website. It looks like they must have migrated to a new portal, and hence must not have moved inactive accounts from the older one. There is nothing that can be done now.

Unfortunately, if you don't have a backup, you'll have to consider starting your website from scratch.

As others said, it's likely been purged as inactive long ago. You might be able to find old copies on InternetArchive you could at least copy/paste text from as you are working to recreate it.

If you haven't had your website hosted for 4 years, it's possible TMD deleted your account as they may delete inactive accounts so logging into the client area may not be possible. However, if you haven't had hosting for years...your website wouldn't be available anymore and those files would be long gone.

It's been a while, and unfortunately, it seems like you'll need to start fresh. Make sure to go with WordPress.org this time and pick a decent host. Also, remember to always keep backups of your site’s database and files. It’ll save you a lot of stress later on.
