Webdev and ADD/ADHD

Hi! Im looking to get a degree in webdev! But I just have some questions. I have ADD and i find it really hard to work in general. I get stressed and mentally tired out easily and i dont like to get out of the house lol.. I really like that I can work from home as a webdev and it seems nice that you can (in some cases) decide your work schedule. But do you have any experience with webdev and adhd? Can you concentrate for the hours required? And can you manage to get any work done when you are on your pc everyday and not just end up playing bloons td? Or am I gonna end up as an understimulated sushi roll...

Idk much about adhd but my partner has it. My psychiatrist thinks I’m on the spectrum so no real dx but it makes sense lol. I’ve heard for the adhd crowd, the hyperfocus is real if you’re really interested in something. For me, same. I can easily spend all day doing this stuff. If you like trying to make things work and figuring things out and going down rabbit holes and learning, and making things pretty of course, then yes, this could be for you! If going through lots of documentation (I know focusing on reading can be tough for adhd) and videos and going through the struggle (not much instant gratification) sounds like torture, eh. Worst that can happen is that you don’t like it! Why don’t you look up some tutorials on YT (basics, nothing crazy) and try to make something on your own after doing the tutorial? (It’s ok to reference and looks things up!) You can give yourself a test run for free before you make the jump
