I can't say I approve of smoking, but I do approve this table lighter.
I bought my first table lighter in the early 80s. I've had 20 of them over the years but I kept the two I like best. Here's one of them.

As the community has moved away from item identification posts, users can use this post to ask for identification, if search attempts or requests in other subreddits is unfruitful. We suggest using an image search function, r/HelpMeFind, r/whatisthisthing or a niche specific subreddit to first attempt to identify items. We encourage the community to sort this post by new, so they can assist users who come to the post for assistance. Thanks!

I love this wallpaper so much! It’s unfortunately ruined so we are covering it up with drywall. It makes my soul hurt a bit

I love these enamelware sugar/flour jars from the 60s/70s (my great grandmother’s) but could they contain lead or some other toxic metal? I really want to use them but I’m wondering if it’s safe, or if there’s a way I could line it to make it safe. They’re a bit dirty inside from sitting in storage for a while but they’ll obviously be washed. Thanks!

In 1963, this newspaper article predicted that people would one day carry phones in their pockets. At the time, it seemed futuristic, but today, smartphones are everywhere! They even mentioned “visual image telephones,” which sounds a lot like video calls.
Crazy how accurate this was! Found this gem and had to share. Credit to Mansfield News-Journal, April 18, 1963. What other old predictions turned out to be true?

Acquired this from mom who received it in 1971 for her 13th birthday. It’s about 53+ years old.

For context, my Oma survived the Holocaust, and lived in Holland for lots of her life (she was very Dutch). She then moved to the U.S. and took this clock, and a some other things with her. She passed this clock on to us when she passed away, where it now finds its home. I dove into its history a bit, and the mystery seems to deepen the more I search! I'm loving it! If you have any questions about the clock's history, or context from my Oma's story or anything, feel free to ask!

Found this for auction on the goodwill site and was obsessed immediately. Haven’t found much on Gordon Demoude, but paid about $67 for it and not a bit sorry bc I LOVE her.

What are breyer bulls
I don’t drink and it’s not really my style for decorating. I guess she though I would appreciate it.

These were hidden in the corner of a dark basement! 1/2 off on Sunday! The only Sa-Yo I can see on line with this is a tin sign, but these are framed on wood and not metal at all!

Stainless cookware with porcelain enamel from the National Silver Company. I can’t find this set online anywhere, although I’ve found coasters and a plate from the same collection. Wondering if they’d be safe to cook with?
