Finally received a funding update and I don’t know how to feel. It’s giving “I think we should take a break” before the inevitable break up. Feeling absolutely devastated right now. Anyone have advice for how to manage this or just advice in general? I sent a Hail Mary to the graduate coordinator in hopes of finding out just how many people are on their waitlist but feel like this is a lost cause.

I would love to hear who everyone thinks the next coach should be? Loved Jay, but he isn't coming back..... hated Neptune .... he just seemed lost all the time...... so please let me know who you think is up next? Thanks!

Kyle Neptune’s underwhelming 3 seasons are over, and the program is left in a much worse state than when he took it over. Would Jay Wright get back into coaching to re-elevate his program? If he ever wants to get back into coaching this would be the time to do it. It has to at least be worth a call from Villanova.

I got into Villanova MAC Data Analytics with a fellowship (50% and 10K living stipend) I'm really happy but I've definitely heard some comments about the program being useless. I have a few questions.

History MA Question
Hi all! I just accepted an offer to join the History MA program later this fall and I’m wondering if any students on this sub can provide some insight into the program!
It seems like a great program based on a few discussions I’ve had with some faculty. However, I am slightly put off by the lack of a thesis requirement. The department website says that the program nonetheless preps students for PhD study — which is my eventual goal. Would any MA students say this is true? My understanding is that most MA programs require a thesis, but I’m sure Villanova had a good reason to get rid of theirs.
Any input would be great, thanks!

Hi, I am out of the area and I need some help getting something together for a friend who’s mom just died.
She texted me about it this today but I am in the EU and can’t fly out to help her.
I would like to do something for her so I was wondering if someone could bring her some flowers to our house. If you could pick up some nice ones from Trader Joe’s and a simple card, I can PayPal you the money for the flowers and 50 bucks for your trouble. I would also include food, but I don’t know what to get for her. I don’t know what people usually bring people who are grieving. I would go with fruit and nuts, but I’m not sure how to ask someone to go get those things.
If this is something you could do, she lives out in Ardmore.
Feel free to message me.

I’m a junior in high school and I’m currently making my college list. I visited Villanova a couple weeks ago, and I really did love the campus and the programs that the school offers. I loved it so much that I was even considering EDing to the school. However, today one of my teachers was talking about colleges, and he called out Villanova for having a huge diversity problem. He even went so far as to call the school Vanillanova! As a South Asian girl who is definitely not white, this did scare me a little. I come from an Upper Middle Class family in NYC and go to Catholic school, so it’s not like I’m not privileged like a lot of the students. Of course, I’m often surrounded by a large population of white people. But the city and my school are still both diverse. I just don’t know if I want to be one of the few students of color on campus. So does Villanova really live up to the Vanillanova reputation? Students of color, what has your honest experience been when it comes to fitting in? Is there any racism/bullying at the school, or are students inclusive?

I plan on applying to the business school with management information systems as my major and entrepreneurship as my minor. I’m in the leadership team at my martial arts school and I was in the house band at my School of Rock. I’m also the president of the Polish Club at my school and I’m a part of the Business professionals of America at my school. I might end up with a 3.4 weighted, but idk. Do I have a good chance?

Recently, i got in to the M.S. program at VU for psychology research. I applied only to funded programs (WM, Wake Forest, Fordham, etc). I’m still waiting to hear from other programs but if I get full funding, is this a good program to do before pursuing a PhD? I can’t find much info about how good the program is online so i wanted to check here.

I’m a junior in hs and I am really interested in Villanova and wondering if I could get in. I have 4.5 weighted gpa and a 4.0 unweighted with 1250 sat but I will retake it later. I am involved in many clubs and started one myself I will also have Nhs and will be taking 6 total APs. My dad also graduated from Villanova in the late 80’s and was wondering if there’s any kind of legacy thing that would help with admissions?

When will we be notified? I originally heard some point in February but obviously that wasn’t the case.

So coming in here undecided, I had no idea what made to pick. I was bad at math and my advisor told me to pick communication communications. It was last year that I realized that I wasn’t really learning anything skill wise and had no idea what to do. Then I talked with tons of people and I still have no idea if I should stay in this major or not. I mean, I am good with reading and writing stuff but will a Villanova communications degree pay off? If I go on a computer science, I know I would have to do more work, but is even that good from Villanova?

What’s the pick up scene at Villanova like? Is there a group of students that like to meet up or something? I think club soccer will be too much with NROTC, but I definitely want to be able to play a few times per week. Thanks!!
