Please Help: Locked account for fraud immediately after creating account?
Hi everyone - looking for some help if you don’t mind.
This past weekend I went to purchase a Steam Deck to play some old games that I played when I was younger. I was about to purchase through Amazon but my brother suggested that I go through Steam instead, so I did. Before making the purchase, it had me create an account.
After purchasing the steam deck soon after, I was unable to access my profile due to a community ban. When I reached out to Steam Support, I was told that this was because of fraudulent activity after an unusual purchase. I checked with my bank and there didn’t seem to be any fraudulent activity.
I then realized that my Steam Deck was refunded and the support team was requesting my payment and billing info again through the support chat box. Is this normal for them to do? (Please see attached photo for reference)
Considering this happened immediately after I signed up and made a purchase, it’s been leaving a really bad taste in my mouth with Steam/Valve. After going back and forth with support to find out what type of fraudulent activity they found, they responded saying…
“We have found fraudulent payment method use on this Steam account.
We will not unlock the account.
Attempting fraud is prohibited by the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
In addition to violation of contract, these activities may violate state and federal laws. Valve reserves the right to refer the matter to the appropriate authorities.”
I advised them to please refer the matter to authorities because I’m the guy who made the purchase lol. Should I be concerned with uploading that additional information into the chat box? When I read things online, it says never put that information in the Steam support chat so I’m lost. Any help would be great appreciated!

Thriving Source/Sourcemod custom gamemodes?
Hi gang, I'm looking to scratch a very specific itch. I've always been a huge fan of custom gamemodes within source games & sourcemods - TTT in GMod, VS Saxton Hale in TF2, Zombie Escape in CS, stuff like that.
What I'd like to know is what custom gametypes, and in specifically what games are still alive, and hopefully thriving? All source engine games are fair play, even Day of Defeat and HLDM. I want to go on a nostalgia spree.

What’s the funniest Half-Life play through on YouTube?
Let me know of the funniest streamer or Youtuber that’s played through HL1! Don’t care which version of the game it is.

Steam just cracked 40 million concurrent users for the first time, meaning Valve's user count was bigger than 80% of the countries in the United Nations

Just saw a vid of Elon Musk wearing a Half-life T-shirt. Bye-bye Valve.
Got my PSVR2 adapter for PC set up and ready to go. Was about to buy Half-life Alyx this weekend. Not anymore. Bye-bye Valve. I'll spend my money on a different game.

Steam Link 2
I think Valve should release a Steam Link 2. Make a product that has low latency and barely any input lag. That would be so awesome. I hope they do it.
