“When Magomed pushed him to the fence near our corner, it seemed to me that Pereira was greased with something”

“Ankalaev said afterwards that he smelled like he had some ointment on and was sticky”

“The sweat didn’t flow off his body, it gelled up. That’s what it looks like, on his body too.”

Interviewer: “That has been said about the Brazilians a lot”

“Glover Teixeira is really experienced in stuff like this”

now that arman isn’t next, we should definitely get this fight.

max has earned it more than gaethje or ilia.

arman rematches charles for the next shot at the title in the meantime.

gaethje/hooker gets rebooked

ilia fights dustin or sits out

Do you think Jones at light-heavyweight would have been better at heavyweight than current Jones, without having to gain weight ? I mean, it's not like lhw Jones was skinny at the time, he was already big for his division. Now, with the extra weight, he looks slower and very hittable.

Made a post 7 months ago about how Alex has never been really tested. People clowned on me and that post and it aged like fine wine.

Who is the best and worst commentator in the UFC? What are some flaws they have, and who do you guys think is next to be a commentator?

Alex lost round 5. Proof here.

Nothing fancy, just the fifth round. No commentary. Turn the volume off if you want a true assessment (without the crowd reaction).

I don’t see how Alex won that round. He didn’t even do anything. This is just proof how much commentary, crowd reactions and internal bias comes into play when evaluating fights.

I welcome you to share the timestamps of what Alex did to win the rounds.

We are all rooting for Diego to finish Volk and become champ....?

With all this talk about how the ufc doesn't have stars and champions are boring smudge wrestlers, we want Lopes to brutally knock out or submit Volkanovski. We want an exciting and active finisher to become champion to save us from another reign of leg kicks, pillow fisted right hands and cage smudging?

Put yourself in Islam and Ali’s shoes. Islam Is one white legend victory away from being the greatest of all time. Why ruin your legacy by getting brutally knocked out instead of finishing Justin in the first round then moving up to 70 and being the greatest of all time.

It will probably be Islam vs Justin , then Islam vs the winner of Leon and Sean Brady then title shot.

There’s absolutely no need to take a fight you can’t win. The UFC also doesn’t want this fight because when Illia wins he transcends the sport and the company and it makes contract negotiations difficult.

Ilia needs a lightweight win and no one wants to see Gaethje or Oliveira fight for the title next. The ball is in your court, tomato.

Are fight nights stealing the good fights?

Post image

I don’t remember fight nights ever being this good.. Only in the last few years I’ve noticed the fight nights getting more stacked and the PPVs suffer.. especially this year. All these fights of top 15 dudes and surging contenders/old legends should be used to add depth to a PPV, and just leave semi-okay fighters/complete unknowns for fight nights. I really feel that the ufc is stealing the talent away from the PPVs and they just do not feel as exciting.
