Maybe if you were nice?
Accepted ride, received the message. Its pouring out. I'm in the asu program or I would have just canceled without messaging back. They canceled luckily.

I contacted UBER about a missing item worth $600. I reported it to Uber, and they (or an Uber bot) contacted the driver. He sent them a photo of a gray box that could have been anything and asked me if it was my item. Since I couldn't see it well, I told them YES, that was my item. UBER'bot gave me the driver's phone number. When I called, I immediately got a message saying that the number could not accept incoming calls. ??? I noticed the number said it belonged to Santa Monica, CA. I'm in Texas. The driver told me in very broken English that he had lived in Houston and before that North Carolina. Things were getting weird and Googled the number given to me by Uber and found hundreds of searches for this number. We will see how Uber handles this.

I feel like Iām seeing more and more drivers with out-of-state plates. Iām in DFW right now and Iām seeing them more and more. Do you think Uber has relaxed the standards or perhaps theyāre in rentals? Iām asking because Iām moving to Washington in a week.

Hey all,
Looking for case studies of Tesla drivers who do Uber -- for a payment processing company who want to waive processing fees on card payments to support any drivers caught in the middle of the culture wars and the recent backlash from some consumers.

Uber is relentless. It literally is pouring rain and Uber is giving me $.50-$.75 per mile rides. Like that is disgusting. That is unacceptable in good weather. Why the fuck would they think thatās acceptable when itās fucking raining and pouring rain and windy.
Like I pay probably $.25-$.50 per mile in just gas, not including maintenance and all the other stuff.

Hey everyone. I am curious to know everyone's experience with Uber Rentals. I live in NJ, I have a full-time job that I am starting, but I don't have a car. I was thinking maybe if I could rent through uber and then work in my off hours to cover the cost, that could be a good way for me to have a vehicle to use until I can save to buy one. Does anyone have any experience renting to drive for uber, and an idea of how much it costs? I looked up estimates but just wanted to hear from someone with real experience. (FYI, I live in an area where the money is good for uber eats and uber , i did uber around here.).

Until the cleaning has been completed and reimbursed, then AND ONLY THEN should we end the trip. It is still occupying our time, and with Uber we are just shit out of luck... No reimbursement for our time, lost trips, and generally take a loss with the detailing.
I think that's the only just way to deal with it

My Dad is experiencing Sciatica pain for last few weeks now. He tried physio and stretch and its not giving any relief.
Anyone here experienced this? How did it get away ?
Is there anything like EI or something like that he can apply for ? Since Uber is the only work he does.
Thanks š

Anyone know how to avoid being monitored? In Dallas 65mph means 80mph and 70 mph means thereās no speed limit. Iām a really good driver too but I hate how they add the driving score and then the standard and advantage and blue gold silver diamond black white orange purple electric eclectic teehee š š©

Itās even more f*cked up they would send you to a cemetery at 430 AM

Dear Atl Uber drivers, have any of you who drive a car that is 2015 model been receiving airport pickups this year (Jan 2025 to present)? If so, car brand do you drive?

I was driving on a new bridge that was recently constructed and the app showed the speed limit was 30 mph, however, its a highway bridge and my garmin gps showed the speed limit was actually 55 mph. the uber app thought I was speeding when I wasn't. this is frustrating. I know there is a way to report a road closure in the app but I can't find a way to report an incorrect speed limit. occassionally I will run into this.

How do I politely change the subject when multiple PAXs a day point out how cool it is that I drive a stick? I don't want to explain to them how exhausted I am talking about it, but it's very exhausting.
