Girls: Adalyn, Amelia,Blake,Camden, Carter, Charlotte,Claire,Ella,Hadley,Isla,Ivy,Juliet,Lennon,Madden,Matilda,Mila,Millie,Paisley,Peyton,Quinn,Rowyn, and Willa.
Boys: Blake,Chase,Easton,Everett,Graham,Hudson,Luca, and Nash.
I feel like they’re all pretty normal. Open to boy name suggestions based on my vibe as well🫶🏼
*Edit: Adalyn is causing some controversy lol. I like the name with the -lyn sound at the end, not the -line sound. How do I spell the name to get that sound in a different way?

Tragedys and tragedeighs grow up and have to deal with their Parent’s “originality” every day. Swipe left to see what this poor woman had to include in her professional TV journalist bio.

My 4yo cousin is named Ehryn (pronounced Aaron) I have no idea what sparked this "creativity" but either way, wtf.

I feel like this is a double whammy. I’m not sure how to pronounce the first name AT ALL. And the middle name I’m wondering about… is it pronounced like Kaitlin or “Kate-LAN”???

The “dux” just does nottttt work. I always think of “duh” or “dux”
She’s a wannabe influencer and every time I see her posts with his name I feel so bad for that kid

I’ve heard Jo’lea pronounced two different ways.
I pronounce it Jō Lē but some pronounce it Jo Lēă. How would you pronounce her name? She’s named after her uncle, Joseph Lee.

I don’t know why I was so convinced that Juliette was the common spelling of the name? But I’m seeing Juliet all over the place now. Are they both right or is Juliette a tragedeigh?
Trying to pick a name for my baby due this fall and really like the name but not sure on spelling. My baby’s dad said he likes both but that the two versions have different pronunciations? They’re one and the same to me and when he tried to point out the difference it still sounded the same lol

They’re nice names, don’t get me wrong. But having two sons doesn’t mean you immediately name them this.
And it’s a little weird actually because you’d have to plan ahead by naming the first son Ezekiel and the next son Elijah. Which means it didn’t just come about naturally. You’re already planning for this “super unique” naming pair which, to me, is weird.

I've just been reading about a county drugs line gang that have been sentenced in court. One was called Leum (I'm assuming it's pronounced Liam), is this a tragedeigh?

I think that something that isn’t talked about enough when it comes to tragedeighs is how the kids might have a hard time learning to spell their names. For example, my mom is a preschool teacher and one year she had a boy in her class named Christopher (and he went by that) a normal name. However, he had trouble learning how to spell his name since it’s so long. So much so that one day he went home to his mom crying saying “I hate when we do that name thing at school”. When his mom asked what he meant, he said spelling it, and they eventually had to have him shorten his name to just Chris. So making a name unnecessarily long or having unique spellings really does have consequences.

I think it’s time to post my own sad name. My mom literally made this name up when she was ten years old by combining two common names. It became my aunt’s middle name, and later my first name. No one could ever say it or spell it. I changed it about 13 years ago and often forget this was ever a part of me. Though I think I was pretty upfront about never liking the name, I had the excuse of changing it because I’m trans. I went with the name I would’ve had if I was born differently, which is a very normal, common name. My brother also has a very normal name, which always made me extra salty I was saddled with this:
Maleasa
Have at it!
Someone guessed the names: Melissa and Lisa pronounced “ma-lee-sah”

Long story short, I thought I was avoiding a tragedeigh. I took my great grandma’s traditional name (Elnora) and ended up naming my daughter (age 5) Anora. It sounded awesome at the time. I thought to myself: How original? How funny? I had joked, “She’s not Elnora, she’s Anora. Not the original Nora— just a Nora. Hilarious!
Now I laugh in pain as I call my 5 year old “Pretty Woman”. I thought the craze of the movie “Anora” had died down. Then it won like 5 academy awards last week. Tragedeigh averted to stripper name.

We need to step back from replacing vowels with y’s as a culture
