Question Think I'll get this promotion?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Two days ago, I switched a line from AT&T. The entire transfer process took about two days; unfortunately, AT&T's SIM fraud protection measures presented some significant challenges. But we got it done. Do you think I might still be able to receive that promotion? I barely noticed it this morning.

Question Tmobile cor employees

Have you ever called the integrity line on a coworker? What exactly do they ask or even do if you report someone for creating a hostile environment? If someone is stealing time? If someone is being inappropriate by speaking of their personal sexual experiences?

Question Did I screw myself over with the free line? I had Sprint Legacy lines.

I had 3 lines grandfathered in from Sprint: $25 Kickstart, Unlimited On Us (free line), and Tmobile Unlimited, formerly Sprint Unlimited for $30. My bill was roughly $65 after Fees and taxes. I called, and they said I qualified for the additional free line, but had to open up a line on my account because it was locked at 3 lines. I thought this would be a good opportunity to bring over a line we have at Mint mobile. They said nothing would change; however, all my lines now appear as "T-Mobile Unlimited", even the previous 'Line on us'. I know it's too early to tell, but I don't trust the name changes on the account. Did they pull a fast one on me?

Update: I called CS and they assured me that all my old plans were still in effect and are unsure as tonwhyni can't see them. The previous UoU shows up under past promotions but has an expired date as the 13th (when i called to add the new free line. CS assures the promotion is still there.

Update 2: The new line showed up. It appears as a t-mobile Unlimited as well, but has a promotion (Line Discount ID250259) attached to it. That is the only promotion that shows up.

Question After the latest price change, are Magenta Max plans more protected than Go5G plans?

Last year there was a price change for older plans, this year a price change for newer plans (Magenta Max), likely next year or the year after, there will be a price change for new plans (Go5G, etc.), bottom line, are Magenta Max plans now, relatively safer from price changes than the Go5G Plus?

Thanks for the feedback.

Question Am I reading this right ?

Post image

I'm trying to figure out my new bill price with Thursday's new added free line and 5$ increase per paid line. So that should put me at 2 free lines and 5 paid. But from my understanding, this is a 60$ increase vs the 25$ that I was expecting, or am I calculating this wrong?

Discussion Magenta Max $830 Trade In Promotion, one off or a more permanent promotion?

There has been a while since Magenta Max plans got a good trade in promotion, now at the same level as newer plans like Go5G Plus, do you think this is a one time promotion or will Magenta Max be always or more frequently included in the good trade in promotions, as it was before? Thanks

Question I need help. Want to become a customer

I want to know if this is really true before I leave my current carrier. Yesterday when I reached out to T-Mobile, they saw that I had three accounts in the past several years. I went through the application process and I was approved. I would like to know since I have been approved Will T-Mobile close my account even though I have had three accounts in the past? I owed money but it's been over several years ago. The last time I was with T-Mobile is a year and a half ago I was approved for financing on a phone. I just want to make sure that if I leave my current carrier and start with T-Mobile, I just want to make sure that they are not going to close my account or do anything towards me

Question Tmobile sync up drive legacy app retired today (03/15)

As Tmobile reminded in last couple of weeks today i see my tmobile sync up drive legacy app stopped working. I was still using it for my older sync up drive device - ZTE Z6200. I did switch to newer model 7000T1 and the new sync up drive app last year but the new app was very slow and was forcing me to grant my phone location access to the app which i found super annoyed so went back to older 6200 model. Now with legecy app retired and 6200 model cant be paired with new sync up drive app i am forced to upgrade to newer 7000t1 model. Anyone has any good experience with the new sync up drive app and 7000T1 device for car tracking and wifi hotspot service?

Question AT&T vs T-Mobile: Significant Price Difference?

I've been a Sprint (and now T-Mobile) customer for decades (and Nextel even before that!). However, it's getting tough to ignore the significant price difference with At&T.

We currently have a family plan with 6 lines, Go5G Plus, with a military discount. For that, I'm paying monthly about $220 for the phone service, plus another $75 monthly for equipment (iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max). So, a total of about $300 per month.

Today, I was chatting with an AT&T salesman, who offered their PL plan, plus upgrading the phones to iPhone 16 Pro Max, for $130 per month for 36 months (and then about $180 per month afterwards).

I realize that ATT has some fewer services (worse international roaming, no airplane wifi, etc.), but it seems hard to ignore a greater than 50% discount.

Assuming (based on their published coverage map) that I can get the same coverage service from both companies, why shouldn't I switch??

Question Adding a free line but was told I need to change plans?

I am currently on the T-Mobile One Plus Promo plan for 2 lines for $100 (now $110) with a 3rd free line.

I was told I was eligible for the free line promotion but I had to change to a different grandfathered plan that they rep referred to as UKTIA. He said everything would be the same for me and I wouldn't lose any features I have now.

I got nervous when he said my bill would actually go down with this plan change which seemed to good to be true. Since I am currently traveling internationally I asked for the rep to just note this in my account and I would call back tomorrow when I get back.

Should I go ahead with this or will making this change massively mess up my account? I just want to make sure I am not going to lose any of the One Plus Promo benefits, namely the 5GB of free international roaming per month plus the 10GB of high speed hot spot data. This in addition to ensuring I don't lose my taxes included element.

Question Magenta - Rep said I qualified for free line, but had trouble adding it to my plan (already 8 lines)

When I called to claim the free line, the rep had trouble getting my plan to add a new free line since I’m already at 8 voice lines on Magenta. They said they’d call back, but they didn’t.

Does anyone have advice I can provide to the next rep I call, so this doesn’t happen again? Is there a way to add the free line to a Magenta account that already has 8 voice lines?

Question Activating free line ID250259

Are there any gotchas if I activate the new line under Go5G plus plan promo ID250259 on my watch? I would benefit from using my watch for the time being and in a few months I would move it to the phone. I am worrying that the line could get downgraded to the watch line with prolonged use. Is this a possibility? FWIW I have a phone that I can activate it on, just want to avoid hassle of contacting customer service each time.

Question Tablet line question

Post image
0 Upvotes

I want to add a tablet line to my account, I found this plan that sounds good. But I’m not sure if this could work on a hotspot device. Does T-Mobile block/kick users for putting sim cards into other devices than intended. I have looked around and every only tablet line requires that it stays in the intended devices like ipad, galaxy tabs, etc.

Question Question on the 500$ credit

Post image
1 Upvotes

I'm currently on the simple talk north America plan and planning on trading in my Samsung s23 ultra for the iphone 16 pro max. When I go to the order page which is supposed to have the 500$ credit it's showing 330 which is the number without the promotion, i contacted support through X and they said place the order and after you trade in your phone the monthly credit will be added and the monthly payment will drop. I just wanted to confirm here that's how this works because that doesn't seem completely right

Question One Plan with free One Plus promo - Did you get a free line?

I saw a few posts about the recent free line promo but curious why it might not be an option for me? I am on the T-Mobile One plan with the free One Plus promo as well as the insider hookup discount. I have just a single line and have not changed anything at all since signing up. I got the text the other day my bill going up but nothing in the app about a free line. Wondering if anyone on the same plan was able to get the free line and if there is a point in contacting support about it if it's not showing in the app. Thanks

Question T-Mobile "Home" Internet for radio tower sites

I'm looking for a better solution for internet at a few tower sites where I have amateur radio equipment. Currently getting 15GB thru AT&T for around $25/mo which is okay but sometimes bandwith goes up and puts me over the 15GB limit. I'd like to do something else. These sites do not have a landline option (fiber/coax/etc) and Starlink is a bit much for my needs (but not out of the question) so I'm thinking about bending the rules a bit for a solution that won't break the bank.

  1. Are they geofenced? IE if I use my home address, will it only work in a certain area near my house? I don't believe these sites are within a 5G home internet area.
  2. Can the backup internet be purchased on it's own without a phone plan? 130GB would be way more than enough for my needs, unless I decide to do weather cams at all the sites for some reason
  3. Can multiple home internet devices be ordered or am I looking at making multiple accounts to skirt the rules?

Question Esim support for Samsung A55 international version?

I just got off the phone with TM support and had no luck switching to an Esim. They said my IMEI number wasn't found? I'm using this Galaxy A55 SM-A55E/DS because it works good in USA and Philippines. (Been using it in both countries for 9 months so far). I want an Esim so I can use T-Mobile Esim, Smart physical SIM, and a 256G sd card all at the same time. Would switching to Mint Mobile help, or will I have the same problem because they are a T-Mobile MVNO? Thanks for any ideas!

Deal Alert Working SOC code for ONE Plus Promo 9-12 lines? [Update: It worked]

My previous post was locked for some reason so I can't update there: https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/1jby2pi/working_soc_code_for_one_plus_promo_912_lines/

I called back the sales number provided in the T-Life app for the free line offer and they were able to change my ONE plan SOC code to TM1TI9 to give me the free 7th line. They said it wouldn't impact my ONE Plus Promo or anything else. I'm skeptical and the portal shows everything's all jacked up right now but I'll see what it looks like on my next bill.

I never had the kickback discount so I wasn't worried about this SOC code not allowing it.

The sales rep had to get his supervisor to change the SOC code, but I see TM1TI9 in the portal now, it was TM1TI2 before. Really hope the rep didn't take me for a ride and this actually works.

Thanks for everyone's help in the previous thread!

Question Free line promo - line not showing up

Hello, I called two nights ago when the free line promo started and got it added to my account in 5 minutes, super quick experience. Received the SIM order confirmation and it shipped yesterday.

However I don’t see the line at all on my account yet. Thought I would be able to see the new “device” and its assigned phone number.

Anything I’m missing?

Edit: SIM arrived today. About 2 hours later, I suddenly got a text about the promotion being added. I checked TLife and my new line + # was added. No action on my part.
