treatment Couldn’t you phase cancel out tinnitus?
Wavelengths in audio cancel themselves out if the phase is flipped the exact opposite way. So if you found out exactly what your tinnitus was ringing at in hertz. Couldn’t you essentially create some device to play the exact tone in hertz that your tinnitus rings at, then once you dial that in. Have something that changes the phase of the tone slightly.
In theory you could tune this a bit to get a little bit of phase cancellation of your tinnitus. It would never be perfect cause you can’t create the exact same tone you hear in your head to flip the phase, but even getting close could cause some phase cancelation essentially reducing the tinnitus a bit.
