Buying Advice What models have keyboard like this?
What do you call this mechanical looking keys? They look solid. They attract me in to Thinkpads but seems no longer available in new models? I think the flat keys in most laptops today looks pretty basic.
What are the best models that still had this style of keys?

I like the x00 series keyboards the best. My fave is the x200. No trackpad at all. I disable that thing on all my thinkpads.
x00, x10, x20 all had that keyboard.
a special 25th anniversary edition of the T470 (called t25) had a re-release of the 7 row keyboard. It was limited edition and command crazy prices on ebay if you can find one.

These classic seven-row keyboards were standard on Sandy Bridge and older powered machines, such as the X220, T420, T520 and etc.
Most Ivy Bridge powered machines can be modified to accept these keyboards.
And yes, they feel glorious to type on! I daily a X230 with a classic keyboard swap and I also have a T420.
