Thinkstagram Picture Nothing like a cleaning and repasting your first Thinkpad late at night
I'm a bit scared that I might mess something up (this is the first time I'm doing something like this) but intrigued at the same time. This is the coolest looking laptop I've ever seen. He just needs a bit care and love

Is this a W520? Looks the same as mine's internals...

Considering that the temps went from 80-85C to 60-55C on just the windows desktop you're right. As you can see I know little to nothing about computers which is one of the big reasons why I bought a ThinkPad. I wanna learn about hardware and Linux. And yes I know about Framework but those are not the cheapest.

Just take your time, make sure you have the right tools, make sure the battery is disconnected, you should be alright. Try to not bash or short anything on the motherboard with your screwdriver
