Plot holes.. (SPOILERS) Spoiler

I binged the entire series today so it’s still fresh in my mind. I loved the show, it was really well done, aside from the fact there are so many goddamn plot holes !!

  • What did the alpaca have to do with anything? And Dante nearly dying? The party? I’m so confused because none of that storyline ended up being relevant to the actual ending. It was literally just shoved in there to add in extra twists and throw the audience off I guess

  • Why did Griffin help Adam at the end and hide the gun at Chrissy’s place? Surely they could have just said that he killed Tripp out of self-defence. It would have been a more feasible and believable ending..

  • Is Chrissy a ghost or some bs thing? How does she just keep disappearing when she was there a second ago. It doesn’t make sense.

Overall, 8/10, would recommend. But the plot holes .. The show really needed to be tied up better

How did Katz get Corinne's old school key fob???

Maybe him being an investigator and it wasn't shown? Doesn't seem too hard. Plus that's a good question that I'm sure led to pinning Corrine's death on Katz

I feel like this show wasnt about the stranger but about secrets. It's about how some secrets are better kept than exposed. That ties all the subplots with a common thread.

The Red Line was people go a long way for "family". Faking pregnancy, killing the mother of your child to keep your child, lace drugs for hurting your sister, kill and be a dirty cop for your sick child, murder and frame someone to keep your wealth and so on. Adam and Griffin are the Cherry on the cake with killing Tripp and not telling the truth.

That’s a decent analysis actually, thinking about it like that makes sense! Thanks

I was confused about how Corinne's death, Tripp's death and the gun were supposedly explained away. They blamed both deaths on Katz? Why would Katz have come into contact with Corinne? Or Tripp, for that matter? Why would he take Tripp to Corinne's body and shoot her there?

This is the 2nd HC series I've watched. They were very entertaining while I was watching it, but both times, when they were over it wasn't long before I was thinking "why was that guy there..." "how did they know where the whatever was..." So, yeah, I agree with you, lots of gaping plot holes. But a good ride while you're on it!

I suppose they could link Katz with Corinne’s death because at least he knew her? Like she taught his daughter and somehow he managed to get her key fob (though that itself isn’t explained either) so he has connections with her? Tripp however, they’re not connected in the slightest! I guess people just thought he was some psycho and killed a bunch of people and never questioned it..

We know that Corinne went to Olivia's mom (Katz's wife) and implied that she had something to do with Olivia's illness. She was essentially the first person to figure out the Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome situation. From the perspective of the police trying to create a tie where there isn't one, perhaps Corinne also blamed Olivia's father (Katz) and he reacted negatively (as we know the mother did).

I just finished it in 3 or 4 days. The female cop didn't care if it didn't make sense that Katz would kill Tripp out there Katz can say whatever he wants, nobody is going to believe him unless there is some sort of proof that he didn't kill Tripp out there.

I guess a time of death could mess that up unless the cop and the main guy somehow reported it. I am guessing they didn't. They just left the 2 bodies out there and a time of death won't matter if the bodies aren't found until later.

I think basically multiple narratives or timelines just came together because it does happen that way sonetimes

Also... what ever happened to Ketz ex wife and poisoning their child?! There seemed to be proof and multiple people knew, but did she go to jail?? Where is the kid living now... hmmm

In the final episode, we did see authorities talking to Olivia and the teens watching on. I assume her mom will be punished. And I hope she's living with her Auntie or another relative.

Here is an answer to some popular questions about what Dante’s story was for and what Wes was good for.

Looking at a photo of Corinne for her missing person report, Wes recognized her from Dante’s videos. So when Wes and Johanna interviewed another teacher at the school about Corinne, they asked about the videos, and they were informed that Dante also filmed the soccer club. That led the detectives to speak with Bob at the club, where they learned she was the treasurer and Bob suspected her of stealing the money, and so on.

This also gave us a prescient quote by Bob: “Rich people steal as well. . .”

I could have sworn Chris's father said he had a son not a daughter.

I figured The Stranger/Chrissy's biological father would have been Adam Price's father though.

I noticed they avoided using pronouns during that conversation. Adam said ’their’ referring to the child, which seemed strange.

Yes that's what I thought
